Puli, Nantou
Puli is an urban township in Nantou County, Taiwan. It is the geographic center of Taiwan. In the 19th century the city was known as Posia (埔社) or Polisia (埔裏社). The Atayal name of the settlement was Sabaha Bakalas, meaning "house of stars". http://staff. whsh. tc. edu. tw/~huanyin/tw_teaching_309. htm One of the main economic activities in Puli is tourism. It is located in the mountainous center of Taiwan, and many tourist destination spots are nearby.
Paper Dome
Paper Dome is a temporary church building constructed using paper tubes as structural elements. It was designed on a pro-bono basis by Shigeru Ban, internationally known Japanese architect who is renowned for his paper tube structures and buildings. This temporary structure was built on September 17, 1995 to serve as a temporary church for Takatori Catholic Church after the Great Hanshin Earthquake.
