Hsinchu County
Hsinchu County is a county in north-western Taiwan. The population of the county is mainly Hakka; there is a Taiwanese aboriginal minority in the southeastern part of the county. Zhubei is the capital of Hsinchu, where the government office and county office is located. Hsinchu CKS Baseball Stadium (Hsinchu Chiang Kai-shek Baseball Stadium) is a baseball stadium in Hsinchu City in Northern Taiwan. Originally it was to have been called the Hsinchu Sadaharu Oh Baseball Stadium; however, during its construction the then President of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek, died, and the stadium was renamed in his honour. Inaugurated on 27 November 1976, the stadium has been in use ever since.
