Vaxholm Municipality
Vaxholm Municipality (Vaxholms kommun or Vaxholms stad) is a municipality within Stockholm archipelago in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. The municipal slogan is "Vaxholm – the capital of the archipelago", due to its central location in the archipelago. Its seat is located in the city of Vaxholm. From 1974 to 1984 Vaxholm was united with Österåker Municipality, making up a municipality called Vaxholm, but with the seat in Åkersberga.
Värmdö Municipality
Värmdö Municipality (Värmdö kommun) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Gustavsberg, with a population of 9,682 (2005), situated on the main island at an elevation of 37 m. The municipality is named after the main island Värmdön, 180 km in size. The municipality in its present form was created in 1974, when "old" Värmdö was amalgamated with Gustavsberg (which had been detached from it in 1902) and Djurö.
Nackasändaren
Nackasändaren is a facility for FM and TV-transmission at Nacka in Metropolitan Stockholm. It used from 1956 to 1983 two 160 metre high guyed masts, which were designed as mast radiators for mediumwave transmission and therefore insulated against ground. In 1965 a further mast, a 299 metres tall guyed steel lattice mast for FM and TV-transmissions was built.
Vaxholm Castle
Vaxholm Castle sits on an island just east of the Swedish village of Vaxholm. In 1970, it was used as a movie location for the pirate stronghold in 'Pippi Longstocking in Taka Tuka land'. A scenic view of the castle may be seen from the car ferry which plies the short distance between Vaxholm and Rindö.
Bollmora
Bollmora is the central district and municipal seat of Tyresö Municipality in Sweden. Together with major parts of the other two main districts of Tyresö, Trollbäcken and Old Tyresö, Bollmora forms a conurbation with the Stockholm urban area. Bollmora derives its name from Bollmora farm (Bollmora gård) which was located near current day Njupkärrsvägen–Industrivägen intersection.
Old Tyresö
Old Tyresö (Gamla Tyresö) is a district of Tyresö Municipality in Sweden. It consists of the eastern half of the municipality, containing the Tyresö Strand and Raksta areas, the long Brevik peninsula, and the vast forest in the south. Old Tyresö contains almost exclusively detached houses and summer cottages. The Tyresö Strand area has since mid-1990s been built with a higher density with tightly packed detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
Tyresö Palace
Tyresö Palace is a palace from the 17th century in Tyresö, Stockholm County, Sweden, about 25 km south-east of central Stockholm. The construction of the palace began in the 1620s by the Lord High Steward Gabriel Oxenstierna. The palace was completed in 1636. He also constructed the nearby Tyresö Church, which was inaugurated with his own burial in 1641.
Tyresö Church
Tyresö church (Tyresö kyrka) is a 17th century church in Tyresö, Sweden, belonging to the Tyresö parish. The church is located near Tyresö Palace, which was built during the same era. The church has a brick exterior and built in a style of a mixture of gothic and renaissance with the tower facing west. It was built during 1638–1640 by riksdrots Gabriel Oxenstierna, who also built Tyresö castle. The church was inaugurated March 9, 1641 with Gabriel Oxenstierna's own burial.
Tyresö centre
Tyresö centre (Tyresö centrum) is the municipal centre of Tyresö Municipality, Sweden, located in the Bollmora district. The municipal hall (kommunhus) is located there inside Tyresö Centrum, an enclosed shopping mall. A bus terminal is placed next to the shopping mall, providing bus lines to and from the various parts of Tyresö Municipality, and the neighbouring municipalities, including Stockholm, Haninge and Nacka.
Tyresö Centrum
Tyresö Centrum (Tyresö Centre) is an enclosed shopping centre in Tyresö centre, Bollmora, the municipal centre of Tyresö, Sweden. It has 74 stores and other social or commercial units. Tyresö Centrum has its origins as Bollmora Centrum which was inaugurated in 1965 as a fairly ordinary small-town centre with pedestrian streets. The centre underwent a major overhaul to an enclosed shopping centre in early 1990s. It was renamed Tyresö Centrum and the was reinaugurated in 1992.
Battle of Stäket
The Battle of Stäket was a minor battle during the Great Northern War. A probing Russian force, circumventing Vaxholm Castle, attempted to pass through Baggensstäket, a very narrow passage in the Stockholm archipelago. After a desperate counterattack by Södermanlands regemente the Russian force departed.
Albysjön (Tyresö)
Albysjön (Swedish for "Lake of Alby") is a lake in Tyresö Municipality just south of Stockholm in Sweden. The small lake is the last lake in the Tyresån Lake System. Surrounded by green spaces and pastures, it is popular for bathing, angling, canoeing, and other open-air activities. Motor engines are prohibited.
Tyresö-Flaten
Tyresö-Flaten is a lake in Tyresö Municipality, just south of Stockholm, Sweden. The lake forms part of the Tyresån Lake System and as such is considered important for recreational activities such as angling and bathing. Common fish species include Perch, Zander Pike, Lake trout, Carp Bream, and Roach.

Bosön is a sports complex on Lidingö outside Stockholm in Sweden, and the headquarters for the Swedish Sports Confederation. Several Swedish national teams have annual training camps at Bosön.
Fatburen
Fatburen is a small lake in Tyresö Municipality, south-east of central Stockholm, Sweden. It is the last and easternmost lake within the Tyresån Lake System. The lake is roughly triangular in shape with its inflow from Albysjön in the southern corner, and its outflow to Kalvfjärden in the north-eastern corner. It is separated from Albysjön by the peninsula Rävnäset, a municipal nature reserve covering 27 ha.

Baggensstäket
Baggensstäket (also Baggarstäket or Södra stäket) is a strait in the Stockholm archipelago, between the island of Värmdö and the mainland. It is part of the waterway between the firth of Baggensfjärden and bay of Lännerstaviken. The waterway continues northwards through Skurusundet till Stockholm. The strait is shallow and narrow and can only be traversed by small vessels with up to 3 meter draft. Traffic through the strait is heavy in summertime.

Rudboda

2013 Saltsjöbanan train crash
The 2013 Saltsjöbanan train crash occurred in early morning hours of 15 January 2013. A passenger train started to move without authorization, with reportedly only a cleaner on board. It overran a set of buffer stops and crashed into a block of flats in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. The cleaner lady was first suspected of having stolen the train but was later cleared of blame, as the train was then considered to have started moving due to some malfunction in connection with safety violations.
