Bollnäs Municipality
Bollnäs Municipality (Bollnäs kommun) is a municipality in Gävleborg County, east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Bollnäs. The municipality evolved during a series of local government reforms in the 1950s and 1970s. It consists of six original entities and has its present shape since 1977.
Hälsingland
Hälsingland is a historical province or landskap in central Sweden. It borders to Gästrikland, Dalarna, Härjedalen, Medelpad and to the Gulf of Bothnia. It is part of the land of Norrland. In English the province is sometimes referred to as Helsingia.
Acktjära
Acktjära is a small area located to the immediate south of Bollnäs, in Sweden. It comprises a collection of hamlets and farming lands spread between thick forests. Main access point are from the 83 road from Gävle, and from Kilafors, heading to Norrfly direction. There are many large wooden farm houses, typical of the Halsingland traditions. A quiet and remote area from October to March, snow can be deep in places, and the access roads can be poor in places.
