Simeria
Simeria is a town in Hunedoara County with a population of just under 11,894, and an important railway junction with hump yard. Six villages are administered by the town: Bârcea Mare, Cărpiniş, Simeria Veche, Sântandrei, Şăuleşti and Uroi.

The sub-culture Vinča-Turdaş (a late, regional variation of the Vinča culture) is named after this site.
