Qatar Open (tennis)
The Qatar Open, currently known as the Qatar ExxonMobil Open for sponsorship reasons, is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour. It is held annually in January at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar, since 1993.
The Pearl-Qatar
The Pearl-Qatar (TPQ) in Doha, Qatar, is an artificial island spanning nearly four million square metres. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. As of spring 2012, there are more than 5,000 residents, compared to more than 3,000 residents in spring of 2011. Once fully completed, The Pearl will create over 32 kilometers of new coastline, for use as a residential estate with an expected 15,000 dwellings and 45,000 residents by 2015.
Qatar SC Stadium
Qatar SC Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Doha, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches and home of the football team Qatar Sports Club. The stadium holds 20,000 people. In 2010 it hosted the Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix, the first meeting of the 2010 Diamond League. Some of the matches from the 2011 AFC Asian Cup were held in this stadium.

The Museum of Islamic Art is a museum located in the Qatari capital Doha and designed by architect I. M. Pei. The museum's interior gallery spaces were designed by a team lead by JM Wilmotte of Wilmotte Associes.
Qatar University
Qatar University is a public university in Qatar, located on the northern outskirts of the capital Doha. In 2009 there were 8,221 students, of whom 73% were female. Courses are taught in Arabic (in education, arts and social sciences courses) or English (in natural sciences, engineering and business courses). The university is the only government university in the country.
Philippine School Doha
Philippine School Doha, also known as PSD for short, is a major learning institution in Qatar as far as providing basic education for the Filipino is concerned. 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship
The 10th FIFA World Youth Championship was held in Qatar from April 13 to April 28, 1995. The tournament took place in three venues in one city: Doha.
Doha Golf Club
The Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar, is an 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. The Doha Golf Club is also one of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East.
Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex
The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex is a tennis complex in Doha, Qatar. The center is owned and operated by the Qatar Tennis Federation. It is the home venue of the ATP World Tour's Qatar ExxonMobil Open and WTA event Qatar Total Open. It formerly hosted the year-ending WTA Tour Championships in 2008-2010. It also hosted the tennis and squash competitions at the 2006 Asian Games. The complex opened on December 16, 1992, and the first Qatar Open was held in January 1993.

Al Dafna
Al Dafna is a seaside district of the Qatari capital Doha located on the Persian Gulf. The district is currently rapidly developing into a central business district, and since the late 1990s dozens of skyscrapers have risen in the district, with over fifty more planned. The district is also home to the City Center mall, one of the Middle East's largest malls.
Doha Corniche
The Doha Corniche is a waterfront promenade extending for several kilometers along the Doha Bay in the capital city of Doha, the state of Qatar. Running parallel to the Corniche is Corniche Street, a main thoroughfare which connects Doha's emerging West Bay business district with the south of the city and Doha International Airport.
Madinat Khalifa
Madinat Khalifa is a north-western neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. The district was constructed in the 1970s by the Emir of Qatar at the time, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. The central traffic department and a health centre are located in the district, which is situated between the adjacent city of Al Rayyan and downtown Doha.
Onaiza
Onaiza is a north-eastern district of Doha, Qatar. It is located between Al Dafna, Qatar's emerging central business district, and Lusail, a development north of Doha which is set to hold 200,000 residents in the near future. The district has mostly developed in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a result of its proximity to Doha's new business district and its relative distance from the more congested centre of the city.
Souq Waqif
Souq Waqif is an important souq in Doha, in the state of Qatar. Literally translated to "the standing market," this shopping destination is renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to dozens of restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world, as well as Shisha lounges. Although this market dates back at least a hundred years, it has been recently restored back to its original glory.
Al Sadd (Qatar)
Al Sadd is a neighborhood of Doha, the capital city and the state of Qatar. The football team, Al-Sadd, and the Al-Sadd Sports Complex, is located here. The neighborhood is a home for hundreds of families and residences. Several malls are also found here such as the Centrepoint Mall and Lulu Centre. The famous Royal Plaza is also found in this vast neighborhood.
Al Fardan Residences
Al Fardan Residences, also known as the Barjeel Tower and the Wind Tower, is a 64 storey residential skyscraper in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. At 254 metres (830 feet), it is the tallest completed building in Doha. Each of the storeys is 4.1 metres (13.5 feet), each built with 94 "SKE 50 automatic climbers", in a 3 to 4-day cycle. Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2009.
Al-Markhiya Stadium
Al-Markhiya Stadium is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar. The football team Al-Markhiya SC play there. The stadium holds a small capacity of 40 people.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Qatar)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the ministry responsible for handling Qatar's external relations and diplomatic efforts, including the maintenance of its diplomatic missions across the globe. The ministry's current director is Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani, who has been in Qatari national politics since 1982. Sheikh al-Thani also acts as the nation's Prime Minister.
Gandhi's Three Monkeys
Gandhi's Three Monkeys is a series of sculptures created by Indian artist Subodh Gupta that portrays three heads in different types of military headgear. The sculptures recall a visual metaphor from India's famous champion of peace, Mahatma Gandhi, of the "Three wise monkeys", representing the principle "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
Richard Serra '7'
The ‘7’ sculpture is an 80-foot high sculpture built by American artist and sculptor Richard Serra and located in the Museum of Islamic Art Park, in Doha, Qatar. Unveiled in December 2011, it is the tallest public art piece in Qatar and the tallest Richard Serra has ever conceived. It is also his first sculpture to be showcased in the Middle East.
