The University of Tartu is a classical university in the city of Tartu, Estonia. University of Tartu is the national university of Estonia; it is the biggest and highest-ranked university in Estonia. Gunpowder Cellar of Tartu
The Gunpowder Cellar is a historic building in Tartu, Estonia which now functions as a beer restaurant. The name is derived from the restaurant's location: it is situated in an 18th century gunpowder cellar constructed in 1768–1778 by order of Catherine II of Russia on the site of an earlier fort, making use of the natural valley and pre-existing very thick brick walls for added safety. The building served as a gunpowder cellar until 1809 when it was converted to a beer storage room.
Hugo Treffner Gymnasium
Hugo Treffner Gymnasium (Estonian: Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium; abbreviated as HTG) is a secondary school in Tartu, Estonia with special emphasis on science education. Founded by Hugo Treffner, it was the only large secondary school in 19th century Estonia with dominantly Estonian students and no age restrictions. During the Estonian national awakening, the school greatly contributed to the numbers of Estonian intellectuals.

Tartu Offensive
The Tartu Offensive Operation (Russian: Тартуская наступательная операция), also known as the Battle of Tartu and the Battle of Emajõgi was a campaign fought over southeastern Estonia in 1944. It took place on the Eastern Front during World War II between the Soviet 3rd Baltic Front and parts of the German Army Group North. The Soviet tactical aim was to defeat the 18th Army and to capture the city of Tartu. The strategic goal was a quick occupation of Estonia.

The Tartu University Clinic (Estonian: Tartu Ülikooli Kliinikum) is a healthcare and medical teaching service in Tartu, Estonia, and a subsidiary of the Tartu University. Its administrative services are located in two buildings on Puusepa Street; its buildings are located throughout the city of Tartu. As an exception, the Clinic's andrology clinic has a facility in Tallinn, on Gonsiori Street. The clinic is the largest employer of Tartu.
Tartu Cathedral
Tartu Cathedral, earlier also known as Dorpat Cathedral is one of the landmarks of the Estonian city of Tartu (Dorpat). The building is now an imposing ruin overlooking the lower town. In the small part of it that has been renovated is now located the museum of the University of Tartu, which the university also uses for major receptions.
Korporatsioon Ugala
Korp! Ugala (Fraternity Ugala) is a fraternal organization of Estonian higher education students. It was established at the University of Tartu on 10 November 1913 (28 November 1913 Julian calendar). Ugala flag colors are: black, blue, white (Fatherland, friendship, honesty) The Ugala corporation house was planned by member Arnold Matteus who was also a Tartu architect. It was completed in 1939 During the Soviet annexation of Estonia, Ugala was banned for nearly 50 years.
Tartu railway station
Tartu railway station is the main railway station in Tartu, Estonia. Tartu railway station is situated west of the centre Tartu. It was established in 1876 when Tapa–Tartu route was built. The station building was opened in 1877. Most of the traffic is towards Tallinn. Other destinations are Jõgeva, Valga and Orava. There are two platforms with the length of 260m and 330m.

The primary purpose is to collect, preserve and archive historically valuable records from central authorities, such as ministries, agencies and national organisations and make them available to the public. The archive is part of the Estonian State Chancellery.
Supilinn
Supilinn (Estonian for "Soup town") is a neighbourhood of Tartu, Estonia. It's located just north of the city centre, on the right bank of Emajõgi River. Supilinn has a population of 1,790 (as of 31 December 2011). With an area of 0.48 km it's the smallest neighbourhood of Tartu. Supilinn is especially famous for being a former slum, mostly consisting of 1–2 floored wooden apartment buildings.

Tartu Toy Museum (Tartu Mänguasjamuuseum) is the biggest toy museum in the Baltic States, located in Tartu, Estonia. It displays over 5000 toys from its vast collection and has several interactive toys for the visitors to try out, as well as a playroom for children. In 2005 the film puppets exhibition was opened in the courtyard house, exhibiting film puppets made in Estonia over the last 50 years, props and sketches of animated movies.
