Pikk Hermann

Pikk Hermann or Tall Hermann is a tower of the Toompea Castle, on Toompea hill in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The first part was built 1360-70. It was rebuilt (height brought to 45,6 m) in the 16th century. A staircase with 215 steps leads to the top of the tower. The tower consists of ten internal floors and a viewing platform at the top.

A. Le Coq Arena (Lilleküla Stadium) is a football stadium in Tallinn, Estonia. As well as football matches, it also hosts various concerts and events. According to the plan, the stadium is unfinished. It is the home ground of the Estonia national football team and FC Flora football club. The stadium has a capacity of 9,692 but can be expanded to 10,300 with extra seats. Its capacity can also reach up to 25,000 for concerts. It is named after the Estonian beer company A. Le Coq.

Tõnismägi

Tõnismägi is a 36 meter high hillock adjacent to Toompea hill in Tallinn, Estonia. From 1945 to 1996 the central portion of the hillock was called Liberators' Square. The place became internationally known in 2007 when the Estonian government relocated a Soviet war memorial known as the Bronze Soldier. Tõnismäe is also a subdistrict (asum) in the district of Kesklinn (Midtown). Tõnismäe has the population of 1,210.

The Tallinn Offensive (Russian: Таллинская наступательная операция) was a strategic offensive by the Red Army's 2nd Shock and 8th Armies and the Baltic Fleet against the German Army Detachment "Narwa" and pro-independence Estonian units in mainland Estonia on the Eastern Front of World War II on 17–26 September 1944. Its German counterpart was the abandonment of the Estonian territory in a retreat codenamed Operation "Aster" .

Freedom Square, Tallinn

Freedom Square is a plaza on the southern end of the Old Town in Tallinn, Estonia. It is bounded on the east by St. John's Church (built 1862-67), on the south by Kaarli Boulevard and an underground shopping center (2008–09), and on the west by a Victory Column (2009) commemorating the Estonian War of Independence 1918–1920. The current design was created by architects Tiit Trummal, Veljo Kaasik and Andres Alver. It has an area of 7752 m² with the dimensions approx. 110 m by 75 m.
