Aarhus
Aarhus or Århus is the second-largest city in Denmark. The principal port of Denmark, Aarhus is on the east side of the peninsula of Jutland in the geographical center of Denmark. Aarhus is the seat of the council of Aarhus municipality with 319,094 inhabitants and 252,213 (1 January 2013) in the inner urban area. According to Aarhus municipality, the "Greater Aarhus" area has a population of about 1.25 million people. The city claims the unofficial title "Capital of Jutland".
Aarhus County
Aarhus County or Århus County is a former county in central Denmark on the Jutland peninsula. The county was abolished effective 1 January 2007, when almost all of it merged into Region Midtjylland (i.e. Region Central Jutland). A very small portion was merged into Region Nordjylland (Region North Jutland). At the time of closure, more than 20,000 people worked for the county.

Aarhus Theatre
The Aarhus Theatre (Aarhus Teater) in Aarhus is the largest provincial theatre in Denmark. The present theatre house constructed in the late 19th century as a replacement for the old theatre, nicknamed "Svedekassen". Since Aarhus had grown to be Jutland's biggest city during the 19th century, the old theatre had become too small for the public. The new building was designed by the Danish architect Hack Kampmann (1856–1920), and the construction began on 12 August 1898.
Church of Our Lady (Aarhus)
The Church of Our Lady (Danish: Vor Frue Kirke) is one of the largest churches of Århus, Denmark. It is situated in the centre of the city not far from Aarhus Cathedral (Århus Domkirke). The church's crypt contains a stone church dating to 1060 AD.
Aarhus City Hall
Aarhus City Hall is the city hall of Aarhus, Denmark. It was inaugurated 2 June 1941, and it was drawn by architects Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller. The decision to build a city hall was taken during a city hall meeting in 1937. As one of just a few Danish city halls it was marked for preservation in March 1994 because of its unique architecture. On the first proposal the plans did not include a tower but due to massive public pressure it was later added to the drawings.
The Old Town, Aarhus
The Old Town in Aarhus, Denmark (Danish: Den Gamle By), is an open-air town museum consisting of 75 historical buildings collected from 20 townships in all parts of the country. In 1914 the museum opened as the world's first open-air museum of its kind, concentrating on town culture rather than village culture, and to this day it remains one of just a few top rated Danish museums outside Copenhagen serving some 3.5 million visitors pr. year.

Aarhus Festuge (Aarhus Festival) is a yearly arts and culture festival in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. The festival was established in 1964, debuted in 1965 and has since then become one of the largest themed festivals in northern Europe. Every year a subject is chosen as the overall theme of the festival, and exhibitions and venues are planned accordingly. The theme for Aarhus Festival 2012 was "BIG" and the Festival took place from August 31 to September 9.

The ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum is an art museum in Aarhus, Denmark. ARoS is one of the largest art museums in northern Europe, 10 storeys tall with a total of 17,000 m². The museum opened on 8 April 2004 after a construction process that started with Danish architects schmidt hammer lassen winning the design competition in 1997. ARoS features a shop, café and restaurant.
Marselisborg Palace
Marselisborg Palace, is a royal residence of the Danish Royal Family in Aarhus. It has been the summer residence of Queen Margrethe II since 1967. Historically the 18th-century country house was the property of the Dutch merchant Gabriel Marselis, whose family gave the house its name, which means "Marselis Castle". Marselisborg became a royal residence when Prince Christian and his consort Princess Alexandrine were given the Palace in 1898 as a wedding present from the people of Denmark.

In December 2010, Realdania announced that the disused goods facilities would be transformed into a modern city district through a collaborative project involving Aarhus Municipality and Realdania. Originally the goods yard was located at Aarhus Central Station (on the site now occupied by the Aarhus Bus Station).
