Gate of Trajan
The Gate of Trajan or Trajan's Gate (Bulgarian: Траянови врата, Trayanovi vrata) is a historic mountain pass near Ihtiman, Bulgaria. It was named so after Roman Emperor Trajan, on whose order a fortress by the name of Stipon was constructed on the hill over the pass, as a symbolic border between the provinces of Thrace and Macedonia.
Momin Prohod
Momin Prohod is located in western Bulgaria and is part of the Kostenets Municipality in the Sofia Province, about 70 km from city of Sofia. In 2006 it obtained administrative autonomy and the status of town (град). It is a health resort and spa in southwest part of Sredna Gora mountain. The resort is an important therapeutic and rehabilitation centre for several diseases. The water of Momin Prohod is second to that of the Narechenski Bani spa in its radioactivity.
Topolnitsa
The Topolnitsa is a river in southern Bulgaria, an important left tributary of the Maritsa. It takes its source from Bich Peak in Sredna Gora close to Koprivshtitsa; it is known as the Shirineyska in its upper course. Its average discharge is 55 m³/s and it is 154.8 kilometres long; its drainage basin covers 1,789 square kilometres . The Topolnitsa flows into the Maritsa near Pazardzhik after making a large turn under Trakiya motorway.

Oborishte is a village located in the Panagyurishte municipality, Pazardzhik Province, western Bulgaria. It is relatively big and has 1,307 inhabitants. Its name until 1950 was Mechka (Мечка), which in Bulgarian means "bear" (the animal).
Poibrene
Poibrene is a village in the Panagyurishte municipality, western Bulgaria. It is located 18 km west of the town and has 850 inhabitants. The large dam Topolnitsa is 1 km west of the village. Several monuments there commemorate participants in the April Uprising. Due to the dam, the baths and the clear natural environment, many citizens of Panagyurishte have summer houses in or near the village.

Battle of the Gates of Trajan
The Battle of the Gates of Trajan (Bulgarian: Битката при Траянови Врата, Greek: Μάχη στις Πύλες του Τραϊανού) was a battle between Byzantine and Bulgarian forces in the year 986. It took place in the pass of the same name, modern Trayanovi Vrata, in Sofia Province, Bulgaria. It was the largest defeat of the Byzantines under Emperor Basil II.
Kostenets Municipality
The Kostenets municipality is one of the 22 municipalities of the Sofia Province, Bulgaria. Its territory is 302 km² and has 14,154 inhabitants as of 2009. It encompasses the Valley of Gorna Banya, along the upper flow of the Maritsa river, surrounded by Rila to the south and Sredna Gora to the north. The region has many warm mineral springs in the spa resorts of Momin Prohod, Momina Banya, Kostenets and Pchelinski Bani.
Chavdar, Sofia Province
Chavdar is a village in western Bulgaria, part of Sofia Province. It is the administrative centre of Chavdar municipality, which lies in the easternmost part of Sofia Province. Chavdar is situated in the Zlatitsa–Pirdop Valley, 80 kilometres east of the capital Sofia, at the foot of the western Balkan Mountains and close to Sredna Gora. The village is the only place in the eponymous municipality, which has an area of 70 square kilometres.

Topolnitsa Reservoir
Topolnitsa is a reservoir in the Sredna Gora mountain, western Bulgaria. Its construction began in 1948 and was finished in 1963. It was built on the Topolnitsa river just south of the village of Muhovo. The main purpose of the Topolnitsa Dam is to irrigate agricultural lands in the Upper Thracian Plain. The walls of the dam are concrete and are 78 m high. The maximum volume is 137.000.000 m3. There is a small hydro power plant.
Belitsa, Sofia Province
Belitsa is a village (село) in southwestern Bulgaria, located in the Ihtiman municipality (община Ихтиман) of the Sofia Province (Софийска област). Belitsa is placed in the western parts of the Sredna Gora mountain. The village was formed in 2001 with the unification of the villages Sredishtna (Средищна), Suevtsi (Суевци) and Grozdyovtsi (Гроздьовци). It is situated at 13 to the west of Poibrene on one of the roads between the capital Sofia and the town of Panagyurishte.
