Lake Chelan
Lake Chelan is a narrow, 55-mile-long lake in Chelan County, northern Washington state, U.S. It is the largest natural lake in Washington state. The name Chelan is a Salish Indian word Tsi - Laan, meaning deep water. Fed by streams from the Cascade Range, Lake Chelan has maximum depth of 1,486 ft (though some sources cite 1,420 feet), making it the third deepest lake in the country and the 26th deepest in the world.
Alta Lake State Park
Alta Lake State Park is a 181 acre (732,000 m²) camping park located in the mountainous northwest interior of the state of Washington, United States. The park and adjacent lake lie beneath towering stone cliffs, formed by glaciation, that rise 1000 feet (304 m) above the valley floor, and carry on up to the top of Old Goat Mountain which sits 4200 ft (1280 m) above the park. The lake is about 2 miles long and .5 miles wide. The park has 2 miles (3.2 km) of hiking trails.

Manson is an unincorporated community (it is advertised as a "village," but not considered as such by the Census Bureau) in Chelan County in the state of Washington. It was named in 1912 for Manson F. Backus, president of the Lake Chelan Land Company. Manson is located in the north-central portion of the state on the shore of Lake Chelan, approximately seven miles from the nearby town of Chelan. Manson is part of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Beebe Bridge
The Beebe Bridge is a two-lane, steel highway bridge crossing the Columbia River at Chelan Falls, Washington. Located three miles east of Lake Chelan, the bridge is part of U.S. Route 97 and averages 5000 vehicle crossings per day. The Beebe Bridge is 1,040 feet long with a deck width of 26 feet supporting one lane of traffic in each direction and 3-foot sidewalks on either side. It is one of three “Continuous-steel through-truss tied-arch” bridges in the state.

1872 North Cascades earthquake
The 1872 North Cascades earthquake struck Washington state on December 14, 1872. Causing intense shaking in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, and Alberta, the earthquake's magnitude was between 6.8 and 7.4. The exact magnitude and epicenter location were never determined. The largest historical earthquake in Washington's history, it was followed by a magnitude 5.0 aftershock on December 30.
