Happy Valley is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It is located 7.25 miles east-southeast of Camino, at an elevation of 3694 feet (1126 m).
Sly Park, California
Sly Park (formerly, Park) is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It is located in Sly Valley 13 miles east of Placerville, at an elevation of 3560 feet (1085 m). A post office operated at Sly Park from 1891 to 1919, with several moves. The name honors James Sly, one of the Mormons who discovered Sly Valley.
Sly Park Dam
Sly Park Dam is located near Placerville, California in the United States. The dam impounds Sly Park Creek, a tributary in the Cosumnes River watershed, to form a 41,000 acre foot, 650-acre reservoir called Jenkinson Lake. It was constructed as part of the American River Division of the Central Valley Project to provide irrigation water to a portion of El Dorado County, California. The dam was begun on May 1953 with clearing operations, and was completed in mid 1955.
