This is the snowcat donated by PG&E to BCSAR. Its stationed in Butte Meadows. This was a work day to grease and lube the cat, and also clear the driveway in front of the fire station.

The morning after a snow storm with Oak trees drooping from the weight of the snow on the unfallen leaves. This snow was 3.5 weeks earlier than I've seen in the 7 years I've lived here.

Inskip, California
Inskip is an unincorporated community in Butte County, California. It lies at an elevation of 4777 feet (1456 m). Historical variants to the name suggest the community's history may have included mining. Variant names listed include Enskeeps Diggins and Inskip Town. The town was named in 1857 for the discoverer of gold here, Mr. Enskeep. Inskip contains two buildings, the larger one being the Inskip Inn. The remnants of a pioneer-era stone chimney are all that is left of a third building.
