Gormanston Camp

Gormanston Camp is a military camp in Ireland and consists of approximately 260 acres. The camp is currently home to Gormanston Camp Company and B Company 27 Infantry Battalion. The Camp is used for air-ground and air-defence training. It is located between Balbriggan and Drogheda along the east coastline of Ireland in County Meath in close proximity to the M1 Motorway and Gormanstown railway station.

Bremore Port is a proposed new deepwater port at Bremore, near Balbriggan, Ireland. It is being developed to provide an east coast deepwater port for Ireland to supplement the Drogheda and Dublin Port. It has moved its planned focus of development from Bremore Head to logistics and offshore jetties at Gormanston just over the border in Meath. It is located near the main Dublin-Belfast road and rail links. The project is applying for Strategic infrastructure status (SIB).
