Helsinki University of Technology
The Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) was a technical university in Finland. It was located in Otaniemi, Espoo in the metropolitan area of Greater Helsinki. The university was founded in 1849 by Grand Duke Nicholas I and received university status in 1908. It moved from Helsinki to Otaniemi campus area in 1966. It was merged into Aalto University in 2010 and briefly had the name Aalto University School of Science and Technology before being split into four schools in 2011.
Malminkartano
Malminkartano (Malmgård in Swedish) is a suburb and a quarter in the northern part of Helsinki municipality, part of the Kaarela neighbourhood. Vantaankosken rata, the railway of Vantaankoski, has a station in Malminkartano. The suburb's artificial hill, Malminkartanonhuippu or Malminkartanon täyttömäki is the highest point of Helsinki. Malminkartano is often called Maltsu by young people.

Malminkartanonhuippu (English: Malminkartano Hill, Swedish: Malmgårdstoppen) is an artificial hill located near to Myyrmäki in the district of Malminkartano in Helsinki, Finland. With a height of approximately 90 meters above sea level, it is the highest point in the city of Helsinki. The view from the top gives an uninterrupted 360° panorama in all directions, for those who have climbed the 426 steps.
Postipuu School
Postipuu School is a primary school in Espoo, Finland. It teaches the Finnish curriculum in both Finnish and English. It consists of Finnish and English speaking classes, as well as six classes at Eestinmetsä school, which provides special education at pre-school, primary and secondary school level. There are around 360 pupils and 45 staff members at Postipuu. The pupils represent many different nationalities, as do the staff members. Since 1992, the school principal has been Auli Tikkanen.
Perkkaanpuiston Montessorikoulu
Perkkaanpuiston Montessorikoulu (Finnish for "Perkkaanpuisto Montessori School") was Finland's first proper primary school using the Montessori method of teaching. Prior to the opening of the school, the Montessori method had only been used in preschools. The school was first founded as a separate Montessori subdivision of the primary school in Lintuvaara, Espoo. In the middle 1980s it moved to its own building in Perkkaa, Espoo.
Pitäjänmäki
Pitäjänmäki is a district located on the westernmost district of Helsinki, Finland, near the border with Espoo. There are many IT and machine manufacturing companies in the area, especially around the Valimo railway station. Such companies include Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks, ABB, Fujitsu Siemens, Digia, Martela as well as Nordea Bank, Stockmann Auto Oy and Sweco Industry Oy. Besides, the suburb also contains many residential apartment buildings.
ISS Stadion
ISS Stadion, formerly Pohjola Stadion is a football stadium in Vantaa, Finland. It is the homeground of PK-35 Vantaa, which plays in Ykkönen and Allianssi Vantaa, which plays in Kolmonen. The stadium holds 4,700 and was built in 2000.
EVTEK
EVTEK University of Applied Sciences (formerly EVTEK Institute of Technology) (abbr. EVTEK) was one of Finland's applied science polytechnics. In August 2008, EVTEK University of Applied Sciences together with Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia merged into Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Evtek University of Applied Sciences offered degree programmes in technology, business and art & design leading to either Bachelor's or a Master's degree.
Sello
Sello is a shopping mall in the Leppävaara district of Espoo, Finland. The mall contains more than 170 shops and services including a concert hall and a library. The Sello is separated into three parts: the oldest part (finished in 2002), the second part (finished in 2005) and the newest part (finished in 2008). The oldest part of Sello has two supermarkets, three banks, contains Espoo City's main library, a concert hall, gym, restaurants and cafes, pharmacy, an Alko and a music academy.

Leppävaara
Leppävaara or Alberga is a district of Espoo, a city in Finland. A major traffic hub in the Greater Helsinki region, the Rantarata rail line and Kehä I, the busiest road in Finland, cross in Leppävaara. The Sello Shopping Centre is also located there. On New Year's Eve 2009, a shooting spree occurred in that mall, killing 6 people, including the shooter.
Lintuvaara
Lintuvaara or Fågelberga is a district of Espoo, a city in Finland. It is located to the north of Leppävaara, an important traffic junction, with a motor way, a ring road and several major roads crossing here, and located there is also an important combined bus terminal and railway station. Also the Sello shopping center, many hi-tech companies and a few major hotels are located in Leppävaara. Lintuvaara is a very quiet living place.

Pitäjänmäki or Sockenbacka is a station on the VR commuter rail network located in western Helsinki, Finland. It is located about 10 kilometres to the northwest/west of Helsinki Central railway station. Pitäjänmäki station is situated in the district of Pitäjänmäki.
Mäkkylä railway station
Mäkkylä is a station on the VR commuter rail network, between the cities of Helsinki and Espoo in Finland. It is situated between Pitäjänmäki railway station and Leppävaara railway station and is about nine kilometres northwest of Helsinki Central railway station. Previously travellers to Mäkkylä from Espoo could use an Espoo internal ticket, and travellers from Helsinki could use a Helsinki internal ticket. However YTV changed this, and after 28 August 2005 Mäkkylä is considered within Espoo.

Malminkartano railway station
Malminkartano railway station is a railway station on the Helsinki commuter rail network located in northern Helsinki, Finland. It is located approximately eleven kilometres to the north of Helsinki Central railway station. The station serves the M line between Central Helsinki and Vantaankoski, between the stations of Kannelmäki and Myyrmäki.
Vermo
Vermo is the main harness racing track of Finland, opened in 1977. It is located in the Leppävaara district of Espoo, but is officially regarded as the racecourse of the neighbouring Helsinki. The length of the track is 1000 metres and width 24–26 metres.
Teknologföreningen
Teknologföreningen is the only student nation at the Aalto University. The only other university in Finland hosting nations is the University of Helsinki. The Aalto University was formed in 2010 by a merger of three universities, before the merger Teknologföreningen was a student corporation of the Helsinki University of Technology. Therefore the majority of the members are students of engineering or architecture. Teknologföreningen was founded in 1872.

Sello mall shooting
The Sello mall shooting occurred on the morning of 31 December 2009 shortly after 10:08 local time at the Sello Prisma supermarket in Leppävaara district of Espoo, Finland. The shooting was believed to have been started after Ibrahim Shkupolli, the alleged gunman, found that his ex-girlfriend had a lover at the grocery store where she worked. Shkupolli first killed her in her apartment before heading towards the mall.
