Gudme
Gudme is a town in central Denmark with a population of 935 (1 January 2011), located in Svendborg municipality on the island of Funen in Region of Southern Denmark. Until January 1, 2007, it was the site of the municipal council of the now former Gudme municipality. Gudme was an important site during the Iron Age.

Langeland
Langeland is a Danish island located between the Great Belt and Bay of Kiel. The island measures 285 km² (c. 110 square miles) and, as of 1 January 2010, has a population of 13,277. The island produces grain and is known as a recreational area. A bridge connects it to Tåsinge via Siø - a small island with a population of approx. 20 - and the main island of Funen (to the northwest). Also there are connections by car ferry to the islands of Lolland, Ærø, and Strynø.
Rudkøbing Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Rudkøbing municipality was a municipality in the former Funen County on the island of Langeland in south-central Denmark. The municipality included the islands of Strynø and Strynø Kalv, and covered an area of 63 km². It had a total population of 6,676 (2005). Its last mayor was Johan Norden, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Rudkøbing.
Egebjerg Municipality
Until 1 January 2007, Egebjerg municipality was a municipality in Funen County on the south coast of the island of Funen in south-central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 124 km², and had a total population of 8,792 (2005). The last mayor of the municipality was Mogens Johansen. Its main city and the site of its municipal council was Vester Skerninge. Egebjerg municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007).
Tåsinge
Tåsinge is a Danish island south of Funen, at Svendborg. The island covers an area of 70 km² and has 6,111 inhabitants. Tåsinge was once called Thorsinge or Thorsenge, which in the Danish means "Thor's Bed" or "Thor's Meadow". "Inge" could also mean young, or youngling. Tåsinge is famous for Valdemars Castle, and was also the setting for the death of Elvira Madigan and Sixten Sparre. People who live on Tåsinge used to be referred to as "Tøssinge"

Strynø
Strynoe is a small Danish island in the southern Funen archipelago and is part of Langeland municipality. Lying south of Tåsinge, north-east of Ærø, and west of Langeland, Strynø covers an area of 4.88 km². The population of Strynø in 2007 was 214, according to Statistics Denmark. The island hosts one shop, one inn, one kindergarten, one school (ages 5-10) and the Øhavets Smakkecenter, a small maritime museum and activities centre. A 28 minute ferry connects Strynø with Rudkøbing.
Thurø
Thurø is a small Danish island in the south-east of Funen and belongs to the Svendborg municipality. Connected to Svendborg proper by a small bridge, Thurø has around 3699(2006) inhabitants. The island has become a popular place to live due to its quiet streets and proximity to both Svendborg and the new motorway to Odense. Thurø is also a holiday destination, with two popular sandy beaches, three campsites and a number of houses for rent.
Svendborgsund Bridge
The Svendborg Sound Bridge (Svendborgsundbroen) is a bridge that crosses Svendborg Sound between the town of Svendborg on Fyn and Vindeby on the island of Tåsinge in Denmark. It is on the road to the island of Langeland. The bridge is 1220 metres long, the longest span is 90 metres, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 33 metres. Midtfyns Festival
Midtfyns Festival was a famous rock festival in Denmark. It was closed before the 2004 festival started, due to declining ticket sales. In the festival's heyday it was competing with Roskilde Festival to be the biggest music event in Northern Europe, mostly due to Phish's appearance at the festival in 1998. Musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughan also performed at Midtfyns (July 1, 1988). In 2005 Henrik Malmkjær acquired the rights for the festival, planning to revive it in 2006. The plan failed.
Hvidkilde Castle
Hvidkilde is located in the south of the island of Funen, Denmark. The earliest reference is from 1480 when it was owned by Claus Rønnow. The present building consists of three wings around a courtyard. It was erected in 1742 by Johan Lehn, and restored in 1919.
Svendborg Gymnasium
Svendborg Gymnasium is one of the largest Upper Secondary Schools in Denmark with 1,000 students and 100 teachers. The school has two academically oriented general upper secondary programmes: the 3-year Upper Secondary School Leaving Examination (STX) and the 2-year Higher Preparatory Examination Course (HF) Both programmes prepare pupils for further studies and, at the same time, they develop the pupils' personal and general competence.
Skrøbelev Gods
Skrøbelev Gods (Skrøbelev Manor) is a traditional Danish estate dating back to 1669. The name has been changed from "Skrøbelevgaard" to the current name in 2007. It is located on the island of Langeland in the south of Denmark. The Manor House has recently been renovated and is now being used as a venue for weddings and other celebrations.
Gudme-Hallerne
Gudme-hallerne is a complex of indoor sports arenas in the town of Gudme on Funen, Denmark. The arena is primarily used for handball, and is home to as well the men's Danish Handball League team, and the women's TOMS Ligaen team of GOG Svendborg.
Svendborg station
Svendborg Station was built in 1876 for the opening of Svendborgbanen July 12, 1876. The main building is designed by N. P. C. Holsøe. The building was opened July 10, 1878. The station building contains a DSB kiosk and a DSB travel agency. The citybus bus stops is placed on the street side of the station, and the regional bus station is placed on the opposite side of the tracks.
Hesselagergård Manor
Hesselagergård Manor, located near Gudme in the southeast of the Danish island Funen, is the oldest Renaissance building in Denmark. It was built by Johan Friis, one of the most powerful man in Denmark during the reigns of Christian III and Frederick II.
Glorup Manor
Glorup is a manor house located between Nyborg and Svendborg in the south-east of the Danish island Funen. Rebuilt to the design of Nicolas-Henri Jardin and his pupil Christian Josef Zuber in 1763-65, it is considered one of the finest Baroque complexes in Denmark and was included in the 2006 Danish Culture Canon.
South Funen Archipelago
The South Funen Archipelago (Danish: Det Sydfynske Øhav) is the popular name for the part of the Baltic Sea south of the ports of Faaborg and Svendborg on the Danish island of Funen. The depth of the sea is typically between 20 and 30 meters. The archipelago includes some 55 low-lying Danish islands, including Ærø, Tåsinge, Thurø, Lyø, Strynø and Avernakø.
Birkholm
Birkholm is a small Danish island off the southern coast of Funen in Ærø Municipality. With an area of just 0.9 km, as of 1 January 2010 it has a population of 10. The flat, low-lying island is just over 2 km long and 2 meters above sea level at its highest point, though the protective dykes are 2.8 meters high. It can be reached by post boat from Marstal on Ærø in 25 minutes.
Siø
Siø is a small Danish island in the South Funen Archipelago between Tåsinge and Langeland. It is part of Langeland Municipality. With an area of 1.3 km, as of 1 January 2010 it has a population of 18. Since 1681, a system of dykes has expanded it to include the former islands of Skovø and Store Fugleø. In 1959, it was connected to Tåsinge by a causeway and a low bridge and, in 1962, to Langeland by a bridge. Today the island is used mainly for pig farming.
Langeland Bridge
Langeland Bridge is a road bridge that connects the islands Langeland and Siø. From Siø a connection exists via Tåsinge to Funen. It was built from 1960–1962
