Prestes Maia
The Prestes Maia, was the largest squatted highrise building on the South American continent. Originally, 468 families, united through the Downtown Roofless Movement (Movimento Sem Teto do Centro or MSTC) of São Paulo, lived in the 22-storey highrise since 2002. The building had been closed and left in a rundown condition for years, serving as shelter for rats and cockroaches.
Anhembi Convention Center
The Anhembi Convention Center is a convention center located in Santana, a district of São Paulo city, Brazil. At 400,000 square meters of indoor space and 93,000 meters of outdoor space, it is one of the largest event grounds in Latin America. The center is home to 20+ large annual fairs, each drawing in excess of 50,000 visitors, and hosts the annual Carnival of São Paulo.
Museum of the Portuguese Language
The Museum of the Portuguese Language is an interactive Portuguese language — and Linguistics/Language Development in general — museum in São Paulo, Brazil. It is housed in the Estação da Luz railway station, in the urban district of the same name.
Andraus Building
The Andraus Building is a well-known building in the city centre of São Paulo, Brazil which is located in Republic district, on the corner of avenida São João with rua Pedro Américo. It is 115 metres tall and has 32 floors, and its construction ended in 1962. On February 24, 1972, the building suffered a great fire which caused the deaths of 16 persons trapped inside the building. 330 others were also injured.
Luz Station
The Luz Station is the common name for a railway station in the Luz neighbourhood in São Paulo, Brazil. The station is part of the metropolitan rail system ran by the CPTM. The station is mostly notable for housing the Museum of the Portuguese Language, established in 2006. The Luz Metro station is also located within the complex.

Sala São Paulo

The building has been totally restored and renovated by the São Paulo State Government, as part of the downtown revitalization in that city. It houses the Sala São Paulo, which has a capacity of 1498 seats and is the home of the São Paulo State Symphonic Orchestra.
Bom Retiro (district of São Paulo)
Bom Retiro is a central district in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is a mainly commercial place, as the industrial and residential areas are greatly decreasing. The district is served by Line 1 (Blue) of the São Paulo Metro and by the lines 7 (Ruby), 10 (Turquoise), and 11 (Coral) of the CPTM. There is also a planned station for Line 4 (Yellow) of the São Paulo Metro.
Jardim da Luz
Jardim da Luz is a public space, characterized as a public park or as a small park, with approximately 20 thousand square meters situated in Avenida Tiradentes, Bom Retiro, in the city of São Paulo. The park is near the Luz station, the Museu de Arte Sacra de São Paulo, and the Historic Department of the City Hall of the municipality. In Jardim da Luz, the headquarters of the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo is found.
Ponte Pequena
Ponte Pequena (Little Bridge in English) is a district in the borough of Bom Retiro in São Paulo, Brazil. Its located in between the northern area and the central area of São Paulo. The district is attended by the Armênia-line 1 (Blue) of the São Paulo Metro. It's not a residential neighborhood and its mainly an access district that connects the northern area with the central area of São Paulo.
Anhembi Sambadrome
Anhembi Sambadrome is a Sambadrome and one of the largest outdoor venues for major events in the city of São Paulo in Brazil. It is located near the Anhembi Convention Center, one of the largest events complexes in Latin America, along the Marginal Tietê River in Santana in the northern zone of the city. It was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer, being built and opened in 1991 for the local administration of Luiza Erundina.
Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo
The Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo is one of the most important art museums in Brazil. It is housed in a 1900 building in Jardim da Luz, Downtown São Paulo, projected by Ramos de Azevedo and Domiziano Rossi to be the headquarters of the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts. It's the oldest art museum in São Paulo, founded on December 24, 1905, and established as a state museum since 1911.
São Paulo Indy 300
The Itaipava São Paulo Indy 300 is an event in the IRL IndyCar Series, which opened the 2010 IndyCar Series season. The event was announced on November 25, 2009, as the first championship event for the series outside of North America and Japan, and the first American open-wheel race in the country since the Rio 200 at Jacarepaguá in 2000. Due to a lengthy distance to travel from most team bases, the event promoters offer each team a six-figure sum of money, as well as paying for all expenses.

Portuguesa-Tietê is a station on Line 1 (Blue) of the São Paulo Metro. The station provides access to the Tietê Bus Terminal, the largest such terminal in Latin America, and the second largest in the world.

Tietê Bus Terminal

The terminal is located in the Santana district in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The official name in Portuguese is Terminal Rodoviário Governador Carvalho Pinto, named after Carlos Alberto Alves de Carvalho Pinto, a former Governor of the State of São Paulo.
Luz (CPTM)
Luz is a rail station for Line 7 (Ruby), Line 10 (Turquoise), and Line 11 (Coral) of the CPTM transit system in São Paulo, Brazil and is the current terminus for all three lines. Passengers may transfer to Line 1 (Blue) of the São Paulo Metro from within the Luz Station. Planned expansion places Luz as the terminus for the proposed Line 14 (Onyx).
