Girov
Girov is a commune located 11 km east of Piatra Neamţ, Romania on the road DN15D (Piatra Neamţ - Roman), on the Cracău River valley. It is composed of nine villages: Boţeşti, Căciuleşti, Dăneşti, Doina, Girov, Gura Văii, Popeşti, Turtureşti and Verşeşti. It also included Băluşeşti and Dochia villages from 1968 to 2003, when these were split off to form Dochia Commune.

Archaeology Museum Piatra Neamț
The History & Archaeology Museum in Piatra Neamţ, Romania, was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Constantin Matasă, minister and amateur archaeologist. The museum shelters the most important collection of Cucuteni culture artifacts and it is the home of the Cucuteni Research Centre. The famous piece, Hora de la Frumuşica ("The Frumuşica Dance," the symbol of Cucuteni culture), can be found on the museum website.
Stadionul Ceahlăul
Ceahlăul Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Piatra Neamţ, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ. The stadium, as well as the local football club takes its name from the Mount Ceahlău, located in the region. The stadium holds 18,000 people, and after major rehabilitation works, received a Category 3 ranking. The 2008 Cupa României Final and the 2011 Supercupa României were held on this stadium.

Bistrița Monastery
The Bistriţa Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastery located 8 km west of Piatra Neamț. It was dedicated in 1402 by Romanian Voivode Alexandru cel Bun whose remains are buried here. The monastery is surrounded by 4 meter high stone walls built during Petru Rareș's reign (1541–1546), the original ones being destroyed in 1538 by Suleiman the Magnificent's army. Also from the same period dates a chapel located north of the monastery. The church is historically and archaeologically valuable.
