Lagmannsholmen

Lagmannsholmen in Kristiansand's western harbour was the fleet station for the Danish-Norwegian skjærgård fleet from 1686 forward until the construction of a headquarters for the navy in Fredriksværn in the years 1750-1758. Today Lagmannsholmen forms part of Kristiansand's container port and is connected to Fiskebrygga (the Fish Wharf). Most of the island consists of large warehouses and a concrete grain silo.

Ny-Hellesund

Ny-Hellesund is an outport in Søgne municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway, consisting of three main islands with good harbors and approach conditions. Fredriksholm Fortress

Fredriksholm Fortress is situated on an islet off Kristiansand, Norway, one kilometer north of the precursor, Christiansø Fortress. Both fortresses were built to protect Flekkerøy port. The work of Frederiksholm Fortress was begun in 1655. After the fort was abandoned Christiansø 1 May 1658, the stone, building materials and useful material were transferred to Fredriksholm. The fortress was completed in 1662. It is named after Frederick III of Denmark.

Vågsbygd

Vågsbygd is the largest borough of Kristiansand in Norway with approx. 22 000 inhabitants. Until 1965, Vågsbygd was a part of Oddernes municipality.
