Rosenborg BK
Rosenborg Ballklub (RBK) is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that play in Tippeligaen. Rosenborg is Norway's most successful team, having won 22 league titles, nine Norwegian Football Cup titles and played more UEFA matches than any other Norwegian team. RBK plays its home games at the all-seater Lerkendal Stadion with capacity for 21,166. Per Joar Hansen has been head coach since the 2013 season.

It was established in 1910, and existed as an independent technical university for 85 years, after which it was merged into the University of Trondheim as an independent college.
Byåsen
Byåsen is a district in the city of Trondheim, Norway, situated to the west of the city centre. This is mainly a residential area, with 32 136 residents as of January 1, 2003. The name Byåsen can be translated into "City Hill", which describes its elevated position, overlooking the rest of Trondheim. Byåsen is the only larger district in Trondheim that have solid rock underground. A long time ago the sea level was halfway up Byåsen, and a clear mark of this can be seen from the city.
Student Society in Trondheim
The Student Society in Trondheim (Norwegian: Studentersamfundet i Trondhjem, Samfundet for short) is Norway's largest student society. Besides housing two cafés and frequently hosting concerts and other activities (among them Norway's biggest culture festival, UKA), it is an independent organization for all students and teachers in Trondheim, owned fully by its members. (At the end of 2011, there are about 9000 members. ) Many famous artists have held concerts here.
Lerkendal Stadion
Lerkendal Stadion is an all-seater football stadium located at Lerkendal in Trondheim, Norway. The home ground of the Tippeligaen side Rosenborg BK, it has a capacity for 21,166 spectators, making it the second-largest football stadium in the country. Lerkendal opened as a multi-purpose stadium on 10 August 1947, as the main football and athletics stadium in Trondheim.
Elgeseter Bridge
Elgeseter Bridge is a bridge in the city and municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the European route E6 highway which passes over the Nidelva river and connects Prinsens street in the Midtbyen area of Trondheim with Elgeseter street in the Elgeseter area of Trondheim in the south. The Trondheim city council decided on 17 March 1949 that the bridge should be built. Elgeseter bridge was opened in 1951 after a construction period of 2 years.
Gløshaugen
Gløshaugen is a location in Trondheim, Norway east of Elgeseter, west of Singsaker and north of Lerkendal where the main campus and buildings of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is located. It was the location of the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) before it became a part of the NTNU merger. Most of the science and engineering buildings are located at Gløshaugen.
City Syd
City Syd is one of the largest shopping centres in Norway, and the largest in Midt-Norge, with a turnover of NOK 1.7 billion in 2004. It lies in Tiller, in the Heimdal area, outside of Trondheim. City Syd opened in 1987 and was remodeled and expanded in 2000. It is now 38,000 m² and has 71 stores on three floors. It is owned by the Trondheim Cooperative, Trondos and Storebrand.
Gråkallen Line
The Gråkallen Line is an 8.8-kilometre suburban tram line located in Trondheim, Norway. As the only remaining part of the Trondheim Tramway, it runs from the city center at St. Olav's Gate, via the suburban area Byåsen to Lian. It is designated Line 1, and is served by nine Class 8 articulated trams. After the closure of the Arkhangelsk tram in 2004, it became the world's northernmost tramway system. The line was opened as the only private tramway in Trondheim by A/S Graakalbanen in 1924.
Elgeseter
Elgeseter is a location in Trondheim, Norway located south and east of the river Nidelven, south of Midtbyen, east of Nidarø, west of Singsaker and north of Lerkendal. The name comes from Helgeseter, the name of Helgeseter Priory, an Augustinian abbey located at Elgeseter during the Middle Ages. Elgeseter is the centre of technology in Trondheim, housing both St. Olavs Hospital, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and parts of Sør-Trøndelag University College.
Helgeseter Priory
Helgeseter Priory or Elgeseter Priory was a house of Augustinian Canons in what is now Elgeseter in Trondheim, Norway, across the river Nidelven from Nidaros Cathedral. The priory was connected to the cathedral by Elgeseter Bridge, making it possible for the canons to perform their duty in the cathedral choir. The monastery was founded by Archbishop Eystein no later than 1183, and rapidly assumed political importance. In May 1240 Duke Skule was killed outside this monastery.
Singsaker
Singsaker is an area of Trondheim, Norway located north of Moholt, east of Gløshaugen, west of Tyholt and Rosenborg and south of Bakklandet. The area consists almost completely of suburban housing, despite being quite close to the city centre. The areas close proximity to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology makes it a popular place for student housing, including Singsaker studenterhjem.
Lerkendal Station
Lerkendal is a railway station located at Lerkendal in Trondheim, Norway. The station is the southern terminus of the Trøndelag Commuter Rail, the commuter rail between Steinkjer and Trondheim. The station is the only one located on the Stavne–Leangen Line and was constructed in 1988 when the Stavne–Leangen Line was opened for passenger traffic and is served by one train each hour. The station is located at Campus Gløshaugen of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and SINTEF.
Marienborg Station
Marienborg is a railway station located at Marienborg in Trondheim, Norway. The station is located on the Dovre Line at the point where the Stavne–Leangen Line branches off from the Dovre Line. The station has two platforms, one on each of the railway lines, the one track electrified and the other not. Service to the station is provided though the commuter train service Trønderbanen operated by Norges Statsbaner and regional trains to Røros. It was opened in 1999.
Lerkendal
Lerkendal is an area and borough in Trondheim, Norway. The area is located south of Gløshaugen and Elgeseter, west of Berg, north of Tempe and east of the river Nidelva. The area is dominated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, SINTEF and the home stadium of Rosenborg, Lerkendal Stadion. The area also has a railway line, Stavne–Leangen Line, running through it with one station, Lerkendal Station, that is served by the local train service Trøndelag Commuter Rail.
St Olav's University Hospital
St. Olav’s University Hospital (Norwegian: St. Olavs Hospital Universitetssykehuset i Trondheim) is the hospital in Trondheim, Norway located at Øya. It is part of St. Olavs Hospital Trust that operates all the hospitals in Sør-Trøndelag and thus indirectly state owned. It cooperates closely with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in research and in education of medical doctors. The university is named for Olaf II of Norway, also known as St. Olav.
Selsbakk Station
Selsbakk Station is a railway station at Selsbakk in Trondheim, Norway on Dovrebanen. The station is located 6.4 kilometers south of Trondheim S and is served by local trains to Røros. The station was opened 1890 as part of Trondhjem-Størenbanen, but moved somewhat in 1919 when it got a new station building when the line was converted to standard gauge and became part of Dovrebanen.
Centre for Renewable Energy
Centre for Renewable Energy is a virtual research centre owned by Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SINTEF, Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) and University of Oslo (UiO). SFFE was etablished in 2004, initially as a unifying organ for SINTEF and NTNU. IFE and UiO became co-owners of the Centre in 2005 and 2011, respectively.
Stavne
Stavne is a neighborhood in Trondheim, Norway. It is located on the west shore of the river Nidelva, east of Byåsen. It lays across the river from Elgeseter. The area was previously served by Stavne Station on the Dovre Line. It is also the terminus Stavne–Leangen Line.
Byåsen Church
Byåsen Church (Norwegian: Byåsen kirke, historically Hallset Church) is a parish church in the municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in Hallset in the Byåsen area of the city of Trondheim, on the western side of the Nidelva river. The church is part of the Byåsen parish in the Byåsen deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The hexagonal concrete church was built in 1974, and it was consecrated on 1 December 1974 by the bishop Tord Godal.
Havstein Church
Havstein Church is a parish church in the municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Sverresborg area on the western side of the Nidelva river in the city of Trondheim. The church is part of the Havstein parish in the Byåsen deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The small stone church was built in 1857. It was financed privately, and was originally a chapel that was part of the Strinda parish.
Tiller Church
Tiller Church is a parish church in the municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Tiller area in the city of Trondheim. The church is part of the Tiller parish in the Heimdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in 1901. The church seats about 200 people. The church was almost totally destroyed in a fire on 9 September 2001.
Tempe Church
Tempe Church is a parish church in the municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Lerkendal area in the city of Trondheim, between the old European route E6 highway and Lerkendal Stadion. The church is part of the Tempe parish in the Strinda deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white brick church building was built in 1960 and consecrated on 24 April 1960 by the Bishop Arne Fjellbu.
Hoeggen Church
Hoeggen Church is a parish church in the municipality of Trondheim in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Lerkendal area in the city of Trondheim. The church is part of the Hoeggen parish in the Strinda deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The church was built in 1997.
