Taplejung Airport (IATA: TPJ, ICAO: NP-T) is a small domestic airport located in Taplejung, a district in the eastern part of Nepal. Situated at an elevation of 4,500 feet, this airport serves as a gateway to the stunning Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, home to the world's third-highest peak, Mount Kanchenjunga.

The airport has a single asphalt runway measuring 1,200 meters in length, which can accommodate small aircraft like Twin Otters and Dornier Do 228s. Due to its location in the hilly terrain, the airport offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains during takeoff and landing.

Taplejung Airport provides essential air connectivity to the remote region, allowing travelers to access the beautiful landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and unique cultural heritage of the Kanchenjunga area. It is an ideal starting point for treks and expeditions to the base camp of Mount Kanchenjunga and other popular destinations like Olangchung Gola and Yamphudin.
