Rajōmon
Rajōmon also called Rashōmon, was the gate built at the southern end of the monumental Suzaku Avenue in the ancient Japanese cities of Heijō-kyō and Heian-kyō, in accordance with the Chinese grid-patterned city layout. At the other far north-end of Suzaku Avenue, one would reach the Suzakumon Gate, the main entrance to the palace zone. As of 2007, the southern end of Suzaku Avenue and the possible remainder of the equivalent gate in Fujiwara-kyō are yet to be discovered.
Tō-ji
(East Temple) is a Buddhist temple of the Shingon sect in Kyoto, Japan. It once had a partner, Sai-ji (West Temple) and, together, they stood alongside the Rashomon, gate to the Heian capital. It was formally known as Kyō-ō-gokoku-ji (教王護国寺, The Temple for the Defense of the Nation by Means of the King of Doctrines) which indicates that it previously functioned as a temple providing protection for the nation.
Minami-ku, Kyoto
Minami-ku, Kyoto is one of the eleven wards in the city of Kyoto, in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Its name means "South Ward. " It was established in 1955 when it was separated from Shimogyo-ku. As of April, 2008 the ward has an estimated population of 98,320 people. The Kamo River and the Katsura River flow through the district. It is home to several historical places and temples.

The station was named after Nishiōji Street, which crosses the railway by an underground path beneath the station platforms.
Katsuragawa Station (Kyoto)
Katsuragawa Station is a railway station located in Minami-ku, Kyoto, Japan, on the JR Kyoto Line operated by JR West. It opened on October 18, 2008. Katsuragawa is between Nishiōji and Mukōmachi Stations, west of the bridges over the Katsura River (Katsuragawa in Japanese). The station on a four-track section has a single island platform between center two tracks. It serves trains 12 cars long.
