Minato Mirai 21
, often shortened to Minato Mirai or MM, is a large urban development, and the central business district of Yokohama, Japan. Initially developed in the 1980's, Minato Mirai 21 was designed as a new urban center planned to connect Yokohama's traditionally important areas of Kannai and the Yokohama Station area.

Yokohama Landmark Tower
The Yokohama Landmark Tower is the tallest building and 3rd tallest structure in Japan, standing 296.3 m high. When opened, it had the highest observation deck in Japan. The building contains a five-star hotel which occupies floors 49-70, with 603 rooms in total. Sakuragichō train fire
The Sakuragichō train fire occurred on April 24, 1951, when a 63 series Keihin Line (now part of the Negishi Line) train approaching Sakuragichō Station in Yokohama hit a loose overhead wire causing a short circuit and starting a fire which killed 106 people and injured 92.
