Yokohama
is the capital city of Kanagawa Prefecture and the second largest city in Japan by population after Tokyo and most populous municipality of Japan. It lies on Tokyo Bay, south of Tokyo, in the Kantō region of the main island of Honshu. It is a major commercial hub of the Greater Tokyo Area. Yokohama's population of 3.7 million makes it Japan's largest incorporated city.
Yokohama Landmark Tower
The Yokohama Landmark Tower is the tallest building and 3rd tallest structure in Japan, standing 296.3 m high. It is located in the Minato Mirai 21 district of Yokohama city, right next to Yokohama Museum of Art. Work on the building was finished in 1993. When opened, it had the highest observation deck in Japan. The building contains a five-star hotel which occupies floors 49-70, with 603 rooms in total. The lower 48 floors contain shops, restaurants, clinics, and offices.

The Yokohama Curry Museum was a restaurant and historic museum of curry in the Isezakichō district of the port city of Yokohama, Japan, between 2001 and 2007. Different types of curry were available from a selection or restaurants, ranging from a full meal to a quick taste option. The museum included a recreation of Yokohama's port in the late 19th century. Exhibits lined the walls and part of the central area built in the form of a ship at port.

The shopping street is 1.2 km long, running from Isezakicho 1-chōme in the northeast, to Isezakicho 7-chōme in the southwest. Isezaki Mall is a special designation given to the 1-chōme and 2-chōme portions only, which is a car-free zone.

It is open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm and is closed on Mondays. The zoo is operated by the Yokohama Zoological Garden, and is a member of the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums (JAZA).

The Sakuragichō train fire occurred on April 24, 1951, when a 63 series Keihin Line (now part of the Negishi Line) train approaching Sakuragichō Station in Yokohama hit a loose overhead wire causing a short circuit and starting a fire which killed 106 people and injured 92.
