Arndt Pekurinen
Arndt Juho Pekurinen was a Finnish pacifist and conscientious objector. In 1926, Pekurinen repeatedly refused mandatory conscription, leading to his imprisonment between 1929 and 1931. He refused to either wear a uniform or take arms. While Pekurinen was deeply religious, his motives were not based on his faith. While his contemporaries suggested he was Communist, he was not interested in politics.
Heureka (science center)
Heureka is a Finnish science center in Vantaa, Finland, north of Helsinki. The aim of the science centre, which opened its doors to the public in 1989, is to popularize scientific information and to develop the methods used to teach science and scientific concepts. The name ‘Heureka’ (eureka in English) refers to the Greek exclamation, presumably uttered by Archimedes, to mean “I’ve found it!” (made a discovery).
Tikkurila
Tikkurila is a district of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. Located in the eastern half of the Helsinki conurbation, some 16 kilometres north of the capital's downtown district, it is the administrative and commercial hub of Vantaa, although Myyrmäki is a rival shopping centre within the municipality and Helsinki itself exerts a massive commercial pull on the area as a whole. Tikkurila's most popular attraction by far is the Heureka science park.

Viikki
Viikki is a neighbourhood of about 5,500 inhabitants in Helsinki, Finland. It is located at the bottom of Vanhankaupunginlahti bay, some 7–10 km from the city centre. The district hosts the Viikki Campus with four of the faculties of the University of Helsinki (biosciences, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and agriculture and forestry) as well as other university units such as research centres, science library and teacher training school. Viikki is known for its natural environment.
Tikkurila railway station
Tikkurila station is located in Tikkurila, the administrative centre of Vantaa in the Helsinki metropolitan area. It is located approximately 16 kilometres from Helsinki Central railway station and 5 kilometres from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The station is considered the main railway station of Vantaa, and nearly all long-distance and most commuter trains call at Tikkurila.

It has statutory duties to promote, through research, the economical, ecological, and socially sustainable management and use of forests. Tapanila railway station
Tapanila or Mosabacka is a railway station in the Tapanila district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Malmi and Puistola, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about 13 kilometres northeast from the Helsinki Central railway station. The original station building at Tapanila has been moved to Pikku-Huopalahti as a part of cultural heritage.

Puistola or Parkstad is a railway station in the Tapulikaupunki district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Tapanila and Tikkurila, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about 14 kilometres northeast from the Helsinki Central railway station.
Hiekkaharju railway station
Hiekkaharju or Sandkulla is located in the district of Hiekkaharju in the city of Vantaa, Finland. It is located approximately 17 kilometres from Helsinki Central railway station. The Hiekkaharju station has acted as an in-between stop during the construction of the Kerava local railway track. The third track of the main railway was taken into use in 1972 between Helsinki and Hiekkaharju and was continued to Kerava in 1981.

Hiekkaharju is a district in Vantaa, Finland, located north from Tikkurila district. In Hiekkaharju, there is a railway station. Hiekkaharju has a population of about 3,869 (in 2004). First buildings in Hiekkaharju were built in 1920, in the 50's was built a lot of apartments there. The soil is highly lead contaminated because there used to be a lead factory. In this ground it is not advisable to plant anything because that will then have a high lead concentration.
Malmi, Helsinki
Malmi is a regional center and a major district on the north-eastern part of Helsinki, Finland. It has a population of 24,312 (2008). Malmi (Malmin kaupunginosa) is divided into six subareas, which are Ylä-Malmi, Ala-Malmi, Pihlajamäki, Tattariharju, Malmin lentokenttä and Pihlajisto. Malmin peruspiiri is a related but distinct subdivision of Helsinki (used for certain administrative purposes) which does not include Pihlajamäki and Pihlajisto, but instead includes Tapanila and Tapaninvainio.
Flamingo, Finland
Flamingo is an entertainment centre in Vantaa, Finland, near the Jumbo shopping centre. The centre was named after Flamingo Las Vegas. It was opened in September 2008. Flamingo is the biggest entertainment centre in the Nordic countries and contains several shops and restaurants as well as a spa and a nightclub.
Tikkurilan lukio
Tikkurilan lukio also known as TILU is the largest high school in Finland and in Scandinavia with about 1200 students from year 10 to 12. The school is located in Tikkurila, Vantaa and is a five minute walking distance from Hiekkaharju's station. TILU provides its students a warm lunch everyday. There are different class groups that focus on specific subjects. From 2009 onwards there will be a mathematics, and physical education group in addition to the music group.

Siltamäki
Siltamäki, Brobacka is a northern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. Siltamäki is located next to Vantaa River, which forms the border with the City of Vantaa. The first signs of human activity in Siltamäki can be traced back to 2500-2000 BC. The existing buildings are derived from much later times; 1950 -, 1960 - and 1970's. In Siltamäki is a shopping center, in addition to shops, a swimming pool. Larger shops are located along the Ring III in Vantaa.

Tapulikaupunki, Stapelstaden is a northern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. Tapulikaupunki is located on Main Line next to Puistola station. Subarea Puistola in the district Suursuo located on the opposite side of the railroad. Lower Tikkurila is a subarea of Tapulikaupunki. Tapulikaupunki is built on the land that belonged to an agricultural research station that was on the field from 1925 to 1960 century. When operations ceased began planning what to do with the muddy fields.
Tattarisuo
Tattarisuo, Tattarmossen is a northeastern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland, east of the Helsinki-Malmi airport. It has a population of 70 (in 2005), and contains 1084 jobs (December 2003). The neighbourhood consists mostly of small industry and warehouses. Many of the companies in the area deal with recycling metal. The woods in the area is known for their bird life and are popular among birdwatchers in Helsinki.
