Hervanta

Hervanta is a large suburb, or satellite city, of Tampere in Finland, located next to Hallila some 10 km south of the city centre. Home to a population of over 26,000, Hervanta is best known for its prefabricated blocks of flats. The total number of apartments is about 11,000. Nearly a fifth of the inhabitants (some 4,500 people) are students, many of them enrolled at the Tampere University of Technology (TUT) or the Police College.

Tampere University of Technology (TUT) (Finnish: Tampereen teknillinen yliopisto) is Finland's second largest university in engineering sciences. Toijala

Toijala is a former town and municipality of Finland, located some 40 kilometres south of Tampere. On 1 January 2007, it was consolidated with Viiala to form the town of Akaa. Toijala is known as an important railway crossroads. The Helsinki–Tampere and Turku–Tampere tracks meet at Toijala railway station. Toijala is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region.

Pyhäjärvi (Tampere region)

Pyhäjärvi is a lake in southern Finland. Although the name means in modern Finnish "holy lake", it probably meant originally "border lake". Pyhäjärvi is shaped like the letter "C" with the cities of Tampere and Nokia on the northern end, and town of Lempäälä at the southern end. The lake is fed by the water running through the Tammerkoski rapids in the center of Tampere in the north, and by the waters from lake Vanajavesi in the south.

Viiala is a former municipality of Finland. On 1 January 2007, it was consolidated with Toijala to form the town of Akaa. Suolijärvi is a small lake in Tampere, Finland. It is situated west of the suburb Hervanta. It has a small beach where people can sunbathe or swim during the summer. Ideapark

Ideapark is a shopping mall in Lempäälä, Finland. It is notable for being very large by Nordic standards. The mall was built on a greenfield site alongside the Helsinki–Tampere motorway approximately twelve kilometres south of Tampere. It was opened for business on December 1, 2006. Toijala railway station

Toijala railway station is located in the Toijala district of the town of Akaa, Finland. The station is located at a crossing point of three different railway tracks: from Riihimäki to Tampere, from Turku to Toijala, and from Toijala to Valkeakoski.
