Bøsdalafossur is a waterfall in the Faroe Islands that flows from the lake Sørvágsvatn and into the Atlantic ocean. It has a height of 30 meters.
Miðvágur
Miðvágur (Danish: Midvåg, English: Midway) is a village in the Faroe Islands on Vágar. It has been a municipality until 1 January, 2009 when it fused with Sandavágur into Vága kommuna. Located on the south coast of the island of Vágar, Miðvágur is the largest town on this Faroese island.
Sandavágur Church
Sandavágur Church is a distinctive red-roofed church in the town of Sandavágur in the Faroe Islands built in 1917. A memorial was erected outside the church to one of the many ships that were sunk during the Second World War. The church is known for its runestone. The inscription on the Sandavágur stone tells that the Norwegian Torkil Onandarson from Rogaland was the first settler on this place. It is believed to be dated back to the 13th century.
Vága (municipality)
Vága kommuna is a municipality in the Faroese Islands. It covers the eastern part of the island of Vágar (while Sørvágs kommuna covers the western part of the island). It has been created on 1 January 2009 by fusing the two municipalities of Miðvágur and Sandavágur (including the town of Sandavágur).
