Bornholm
Bornholm is a Danish island in the Baltic Sea, to the east of most of Denmark, south of Sweden, and north of Poland. The main industries on the island include fishing, arts and crafts such as glass making and pottery using locally worked clay, and dairy farming. Tourism is important during the summer.
Nexø
Nexø, sometimes spelled Neksø, is a town on the east coast of the Baltic island of Bornholm, Denmark. With a population of 3,700 (as of 1 January 2012), it is the second largest town, as well as the largest fishing port on the island. Fishing is the mainstay of the town's economy. Nexø is also the site of a distillery (Bornholmske Spiritfabrik ApS) and a mustard factory (Bornholmersennep ApS).

Gamleborg
Gamleborg, also known as Gamleborg Viking Fortress, was the first fortress on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built around 750 AD, it was the seat of the kings of Bornholm during the Viking age (750–1050) and early Middle Ages (1050–1150). The massive fortress is 264 metres long from north to south and 110 metres wide from east to west, with gates to the north and southwest.
Paradisbakkerne
Paradisbakkerne ("hills of paradise"), also Helvedesbakkerne ("hills of hell"), is a group of hills in Denmark, located in the east of the island of Bornholm. It is situated approximately 3 kilometres northwest of Nexø, in Hovedstaden region. The privately owned area consists of hilly, rocky landscapes with narrow rift valleys lined by almost vertical cliffs, making it popular for nature walks.
Almindingen
Almindingen ("the common") is one of the largest forests in Denmark. It is located in the centre of the island of Bornholm. The forest covers 3,800 hectares, making it Denmark's third largest. Though it was at one time common grazing land for cattle, it was fenced in for forestry in 1809 by Hans Rømer, the forest supervisor. As a result, by the beginning of the 20th century, Bornholm had become Denmark's most forested region.
Rytterknægten
Rytterknægten is the highest point on the Danish island of Bornholm at 162 metres above sea level. The bierg is situated on a wooded bedrock of gaiter formations in the middle of Almindingen forest. Aakirkeby is located about 5 kilometres to the southeast.
Dueodde
Dueodde is a beach in Denmark on Bornholm's southernmost tip. It is known for its very fine white sand. The area around Dueodde was originally a large sandy area, but in the eighteenth century, it was planted with pines, as well as Ammophila and Leymus grasses to reduce sand drift. Today, Dueodde is a protected area. The sand at Dueodde moves easily with the wind to form dunes.
Lilleborg, Bornholm
Lilleborg is a ruined castle in the Almindingen forest in the centre of the Danish island of Bornholm. It is situated close to the main road from Rønne to Svaneke. Of the Danish fortresses built in the 12th century, Lilleborg most closely resembles those of Saxon architectural style.
Pedersker
Pedersker is a little village in the southwest of the Danish island of Bornholm, 8 kilometres southeast of Aakirkeby and 11 kilometres southwest of Nexø. As of 2012, it has 251 inhabitants.
Pedersker Kirkemølle
Pedersker Kirkemølle is a Dutch windmill located in the little village of Pedersker on the Danish island of Bornholm. It functioned until 1969.
Egeby Mølle
Egeby Mølle (Egeby Windmill) is a post mill located 5 kilometres east of Aakirkeby on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built in 1787, it remained in service until the late 1920s.
Myreagre Mølle
Myreagre Mølle (Myreagre Windmill) is a whitewashed tower mill located 3 kilometres east of Aakirkeby on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built in 1865, it remained in service until 1970.
Balka
Balka, also Balke, is a village and seaside resort midway between Nexø and Snogebæk on the southwest coast of the Danish island of Bornholm. As of 2012, it has a population of 268. It is best known for its wide beach with fine white sand.
Bornholm Butterfly Park
Bornholm Butterfly Park is located on the western outskirts of Nexø on the Danish island of Bornholm. Over a thousand brightly coloured butterflies from around the world can be seen in a large former hothouse while wild Danish species abound in the flowery garden.
Louisenlund (Bornholm)
Louisenlund, some 3.5 kilometres east of Østermarie on the Danish island of Bornholm, is a site with one of Denmark's largest collection of megaliths. Some 50 stones standing upright among the trees, many of them over 2.5 metres high. Gryet, a similar site in a wood near Bodilsker west of Nexø once had over 60 megaliths but many have now been removed.

Gryet, some 4 kilometres west of Nexø and just north of Bodilsker on the Danish island of Bornholm, is a site with one of Denmark's largest collections of megaliths with tall upright stones standing among the trees in a little wood.
