Designed by Sidney Perry Dumaresq (architect), The Memorial Tower (Dingle Tower) (1910–12) in Sir Sandford Fleming Park stands out as a rare form of architectural expression in this period of rising Canadian nationalism and fervent loyalty to the British Empire.

Saunders Park is an urban park in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is located in West End, Halifax on Chebucto Road at the site of the now defunct Halifax Civic Airport, the city's first aerodrome built in 1931 and in operation until 1941. The hangers and terminal building were located near the present day park. The park serves the neighbourhood of Westmount. Larry O'Connell Field
Larry O'Connell Field is a sports field in Halifax, Nova Scotia beside Chebucto Road and Newton Avenue. Named in memory of Flight Lieutenant Lawrence James O'Connell, RCAF DFC. The area was once home to Halifax' first airport in 1931, which had two landing strips on Chebucto Road. Larry O'Connell has a baseball diamond, tennis courts, two playgrounds and a small community centre. It is also home to the second outdoor in metro HRM.
Deadman's Island (Nova Scotia)
Deadman's Island is a small peninsula containing a cemetery and park located in the Northwest Arm of Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia, Canada. The area was first used as a training grounds for the British military, and later became a burial ground for dead prisoners of war from nearby Melville Island. In the early 1900s the site became an amusement park before being annexed to the city of Halifax in the 1960s.
Armdale traffic circle
The Armdale Traffic Circle is a roundabout in the Armdale district of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The traffic circle receives vehicles from five different directions: Chebucto Road and Quinpool Road on the Halifax Peninsula, Herring Cove Road and St. Margaret's Bay Road on the Chebucto Peninsula, and Joseph Howe Drive, which runs along the isthmus of the Halifax Peninsula. It currently handles approximately 60,000 vehicles on weekdays.
Deadman's Island Park
Deadman's Island Park is a Canadian urban park located on Deadman's Island in the Northwest Arm of Halifax Harbour in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality. The park was created in 2005 to protect the property from development as it is the location of the unmarked graves of 195 American soldiers and sailors who died in British captivity during the War of 1812 at a prison on nearby Melville Island.

The lake is surrounded by many private homes as well as a Best Western hotel and a city beach, which is popular with local families in the summer. This body of water is an artificial lake into which no aquatic species have been introduced. . However, swimmers have noticed minnows swimming along the edge of Chocolate Lake Beach.

The land is rocky, with thin, acidic soil, but supports a limited woodland habitat. The site was discovered by Europeans in the 1600s, though it was likely earlier explored by aboriginals.
