Wolfville
Wolfville is a Canadian town in the Annapolis Valley, Kings County, Nova Scotia, located about 100 kilometres northwest of the provincial capital, Halifax. The town is home to Acadia University, Landmark East School and the Acadia Cinema Cooperative, a non-profit organization that runs the local movie/performance house.
Acadia Divinity College
Acadia Divinity College (ADC) is a seminary of the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches and is located on the campus of Acadia University in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. The College operates as the Faculty of Theology at Acadia University and is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. ADC shares facilities with Acadia University; the college's library is part of the university's 800,000 volume Vaughan Memorial Library collection.
Acadia Arena
The Acadia Arena is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was built in 1988, and features an Olympic sized ice surface. It is home to the Acadia Axemen ice hockey team. Has also hosted exhibition games featuring Team Canada, NHL old-timers and the American Hockey League. The arena was the training site for the Soviets for the 1990 World Figure Skating Championships, which were held in Halifax.
Port Williams, Nova Scotia
Port Williams is a Canadian village in Kings County, Nova Scotia. It is located on the north bank of the Cornwallis River, opposite Greenwich and Wolfville. As of 2006, the population was 1,050. The bridge into Port Williams is one of the best places to see the incoming and outgoing tides of the Bay of Fundy. The Prescott House Museum is in nearby Starr's Point. Raymond Field
Raymond Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. It is the home of the Acadia University Axemen football and soccer teams as well as the Acadia Axewomen soccer and rugby teams. It can seat 3,000 5,000 with standing room. and was built in 1966. In 2007, the natural grass was replaced with FieldTurf and the running track was replaced with an 8-lane all-weather surface.
Greenwich, Nova Scotia
Greenwich is a Canadian rural community located in eastern Kings County, Nova Scotia. It was previously known as Noggins Corner, as travelers could procure a noggin of rum at a local public house. The community is bordered to the south by the Wolfville Ridge, immediately west of the town of Wolfville and east of the village of New Minas. It is also bordered on the north by the south bank of the Cornwallis River, opposite the village of Port Williams.
