Richibucto River

The Richibucto River is a river in eastern New Brunswick, Canada which empties into the Northumberland Strait north of Richibucto. It is 80 kilometres long. The river's name means "river of fire" in the Mi'kmaq language. Other villages situated along the river include Rexton and Elsipogtog First Nation. Andrew Bonar Law, the British Prime Minister, was raised along the river.

Route 495 is a 23-kilometre long north-south secondary highway in the northwest portion of New Brunswick, Canada. The route's northern terminus is at the intersection of Route 134 and Route 505. It begins as Centennial Avenue West and travels south-west in the community of Rexton. The road runs parallel to the south bank of the Richibucto River as it travels south-west crossing Childs Creek. The road turns south and comes to the western terminus of Route 470 near Mundleville.

In 1904 Mundleville was a farming settlement with 1 post office, 1 store, 1 church and a population of 125. Today the community features some of the most beautiful homes along the Richibucto River, has a few small businesses and hosts an Annual Winter Carnival.

It had a Post Office 1867-1956 and in 1871 had a population of 200, in 1898 West Branch was a farming and lumbering village with 1 post office, 1 store, 2 churches and a population of 500.
