Albany, Western Australia
Albany is a port city in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, some 418 km SE of Perth, the state capital. As of 2009, Albany's population was estimated at 33,600, making it the sixth-largest city in the state. The city centre is at the northern edge of Princess Royal Harbour, which is a part of King George Sound. The Central Business District is bounded by Mount Clarence to the east and Mount Melville to the west. The city is in the local government area of the City of Albany.
HMAS Perth (D 38)
HMAS Perth (D 38) was the lead ship of the Perth class guided missile destroyers operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Built in the United States of America to a modified version of the Charles F. Adams design, Perth entered service with the RAN in 1965. The destroyer made three deployments to the Vietnam War, earning a RAN battle honour and two United States Navy commendations for her service.
Albany Regional Prison
Albany Regional Prison is a maximum security prison located 8 km West of Albany, Western Australia, Australia. Albany Prison was commissioned in 1966 with a capacity of 72 minimum security cells. In 1979 it was upgraded to maximum security and in 1988 expanded to a capacity of 126. In 1993 it expanded again, to 186 standard-bed cells.
King George Sound
King George Sound is the name of a sound on the south coast of Western Australia. The main bitumen roads that border Lake Seppings are Golf Links Road to the East, Troode Street to the North, Collingwood Road, Drew Street/Sleeman Avenue to West and Lake Seppings Drive to the South. The lake is nearly completely surrounded by a 2.7 kilometres compacted gravel footpath and wooden walkways.

The area adjacent to the island is used to cultivate mussels on long lines on licenses issued by the Department of fisheries and leases issued by the Albany Port Authority.
ABC South Coast
ABC South Coast is an ABC Local Radio station based in Albany. The station broadcasts to the coastal parts of the Great Southern region of Western Australia. This includes the towns of Denmark and Mount Barker. The station began broadcasting as 6AL in 1956. There are a number of low power FM transmitters as well. Local programs are also broadcast through ABC Great Southern. When local programs are not broadcast the station is a relay of 720 ABC Perth.

Royals Football Club
Royals Football Club or Royals Football and Sporting Club, is an Australian rules football club located in Albany, Western Australia playing in the Great Southern Football League. The home ground is called Centennial Oval which is situated in the suburb of Centennial Park. The oval is part of the Albany show grounds. Royals won a hat-trick of premierships in 1993, 1994 and 1995.

The site was also a Customs office, a base station of the overland telegraph, and is noted for its architectural and historical significance. It was listed by the Register of the National Estate in 1992. The building is situated on Stirling Terrace, Albany, opposite Spencer Street, on a multilevel site that overlooks Princess Royal Harbour.

Limeburner Point
Limeburner Point is a point on the south coast of Shoal Bay, Princess Royal Harbour, on the south coast of Western Australia near Albany. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:35|5|S|117|54|E||| |primary |name= }}, just west of the more prominent Limekilns Point. It was in the vicinity of Limeburner Point that the first known specimens of Cephalotus follicularis (Western Australian Pitcher Plant) were collected by Ferdinand Bauer and William Westall in January 1802.

The suburb has a median age of 43. In March 2010, the area was evacuated as a result of a catastrophic bushfire. The fire started after a motorcycle accident and quickly spread through the surrounding bushland. Fire fighters battled flames as high as 10 metres using two water bombers and a helicopter.
