San Diego, Carabobo
San Diego is a city and civic parish, capital of San Diego Municipality. It is located to the North of Valencia Lake in Carabobo State, Venezuela. It is part of the metropolitan area of Valencia. The city was the centre of an agricultural region. It has grown very rapidly in recent years. Many of the areas previously used for agriculture have been taken over by further urbanizations. Now the service industry has overtaken agriculture as main source of income.

Valencia's Aquarium (officially Acuario de Valencia, Fundación Seijas) is a recreational park located in Valencia, Venezuela. It is the largest aquarium in Latin America and it also has a small zoo with species from Venezuela. It is operated by the J.V. Seijas Foundation. This aquarium has the only trained tamed river dolphins in the world. It also has many species of fish, snakes and other animals as well as plants endemic to Venezuela.

Cubana de Aviación Flight 310 was a scheduled international flight from José Martí International Airport, Havana, Cuba to Arturo Michelena International Airport. Valencia, Venezuela which crashed near Bejuma, Venezuela on 25 December 1999. All 22 people on board were killed.
Burro Island
