Snowbasin

Snowbasin Resort is located 33 miles northeast of Salt Lake City, in Weber County, Utah. Opened in 1939, as part of an effort by the city of Ogden, Utah to restore the Wheeler Creek watershed, it is one of the oldest continually operating ski resorts in the United States. Over the next 50 years Snowbasin grew slowly. After a large investment in lifts and snowmaking by current owner Earl Holding, Snowbasin hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic alpine skiing races for downhill, combined, and super-G.

Dee Events Center

Dee Events Center is a 11,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Ogden, Utah. The circular, domed arena, similar in design to many arenas of the time, opened in 1977 and was named for the Lawrence T. Dee family, for his extensive contributions in building the arena. The arena is the largest arena in Utah north of Salt Lake City. It is home to the Weber State University Wildcats men's and women's basketball teams. It was home to the Weber State women's volleyball team until 2006.

Stewart Stadium

Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium is a 17,312-seat outdoor multi-purpose stadium in Ogden, Utah, used primarily for football. It is the home field of the Weber State University Wildcats of the Big Sky Conference. It was expanded in 1966 with the construction of the west grandstand, nearly doubling its capacity. Swenson Gym

Swenson Gym, also known as Wildcat Gym, was the home of several indoor athletic teams of the Weber State University Wildcats. It was built in 1962 and replaced by the more modern Dee Events Center in 1977. The facility was renovated for its new role as the home of volleyball matches in Fall 2006. The arena hosted the 1976 Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournament.

The Ice Sheet at Ogden

The Ice Sheet at Ogden, also known as the Weber County Ice Sheet, is located 35 miles north of Salt Lake City on the campus of Weber State University in Ogden. Ogden Stadium

Ogden Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Ogden, Utah. The main event held here is "Hot Rocking 4th", an annual event that includes demolition derbies, a monster truck exhibition which often includes monster trucks from Kreg Christensen Motorsports (Dragon Slayer, Kaptain Insano, or Spiderman) and rock crawlers. Richard Ballantyne

Richard Ballantyne (August 26, 1817 – November 8, 1898) was the founder of the Sunday School of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having begun the program in December 1849. Ralph Bristol House

Mount Ogden

Mount Ogden is a peak in Weber County, Utah, in the northern Wasatch Range. Mount Ogden has an elevation of 9570 feet (2917 meters). The peak is popular with hikers, particularly in its three main canyons: Beus, Waterfall, and Taylor Canyons. The mountain’s east face has some good technical crack and face climbing routes. The summit features several large radio towers and a helipad. Mount Ogden is home to Snowbasin ski resort, where the 2002 Olympics downhill ski races were held.

Hayden Geological Survey of 1871

The Hayden Geological Survey of 1871 explored the region of northwestern Wyoming that later became Yellowstone National Park in 1872. It was led by geologist Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden. The 1871 survey was not Hayden's first, but it was the first federally funded, geological survey to explore and further document features in the region soon to become Yellowstone National Park and played a prominent role in convincing the U.S. Congress to pass the legislation creating the park.

Jane Snyder Richards (January 31, 1823–November 17, 1912) was a counselor to Zina D. H. Young in the general presidency of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1888 to 1901. Jane Snyder was born to Isaac Richards Snyder and his wife Louise Comstock in Parmelia, Jefferson County, New York.
