American Fork River

The American Fork, in Utah, flows out of American Fork Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains about 35 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. The headwaters are located on Mount Timpanogos and the river continues down through American Fork Canyon. On the way it passes through the Uinta National Forest and Timpanogos Cave National Monument. Exiting the canyon, the river runs through northern Utah County and empties into Utah Lake on the north shore. The city of American Fork is named after this river.

American Fork High School

American Fork High School is a public high school in American Fork, Utah. Its mascot is the Caveman, chosen as a tribute to Timpanogos Cave. Sam White Bridge

The Sam White Bridge is a reinforced concrete and steel overpass beam bridge which crosses Interstate 15 in American Fork, Utah. The original bridge had only 14 feet 7 inches underpass clearance and was named for Sam White, a former homesteader in the nearby city of Pleasant Grove. The new bridge has an underpass clearance of 17 feet 3 inches, which exceeds the minimum standard for interstate bridges in the United States.
