Don Haskins Center

The Don Haskins Center is the home of UTEP Miners men's and women's basketball. The 'Don', as it is known by local residents, is located in the heart of El Paso, Texas. In addition to hosting sporting events, the Don is also used by many area schools, such as El Paso Community College, for graduation and commencement ceremonies.

KPRR, known as "Power 102 FM", is a Rhythmic Top 40 radio station based in El Paso, Texas. KINT-TV

KINT-TV, channel 26 (digital 25), is a Univision affiliate based in El Paso, Texas. It is owned by Entravision, and is a sister station to UniMás affiliate KTFN. KINT-TV signed on the air on May 5, 1984. For many years, it was the only Spanish TV station in El Paso. KINT was founded by a consortium of local businessmen including Larry Daniels (one time manager of KROD-TV, owner of KINT AM/FM radio, and owner of other businesses. ) and E.H. Bayesa, owner of a downtown grocery store.

Memorial Gymnasium (University of Texas at El Paso)

Memorial Gym is a 5,200 seat multi-purpose arena in El Paso, Texas. It was home to the Texas Western College Miners basketball teams until the Don Haskins Center, then known as the Special Events Center, opened in 1976, by which time Texas Western had changed its name to the current University of Texas at El Paso. Memorial Gym was the home court of the 1966 Texas Western basketball team that won the NCAA title, using five black starters to defeat Adolph Rupp's all-white Kentucky squad.

KLAQ

KLAQ, known as "The Q 95.5", is an active rock radio station based in El Paso, Texas. The station is under ownership of Townsquare Media. KLAQ began operations in 1978, replacing El Paso's previous rock station, KPAS 94FM (93.9), which changed formats in late-1981. KPAS changed due to mismanagement. KLAQ is the fifth largest radio station in El Paso audience wise, according to Arbitron Fall 2008 ratings.

KTEP

KTEP is a non-commercial radio station broadcasting a National Public Radio format from the Communication Department at the University of Texas at El Paso in the United States. Jazz music is broadcast from 1am to 5am. The station began in October 1946 as WTCM, a carrier current station based at what was then Texas College of Mines. In 1947, it changed its calls to KVOF after finding out the WTCM call letters were already being used by a station in Traverse City, Michigan.
