Shady Grove, Pawnee County, Oklahoma

Shady Grove is a town in southeastern Pawnee County, Oklahoma, United States, near Lake Keystone. The population was 44 at the 2000 census. In the 2010 census, its population had dropped to 2, and a 2011 news report stated that one of those two had left since the census, leaving it the smallest town in the state.

Keystone Lake

Keystone Lake is a reservoir in northeastern Oklahoma on the Arkansas and Cimarron rivers. It is located upstream about 23 miles from Tulsa. It was created in 1968 when the Keystone Dam was completed. The primary purposes are: flood control, hydroelectric power generation, wildlife management and recreation. Keystone Lake is about 23,600 acres in size.

Cimarron River (Arkansas River)

The Cimarron River extends 698 miles (1123 km) across New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas. The headwaters flow from Johnson Mesa west of Folsom in northeastern New Mexico. The river enters the Oklahoma Panhandle near Kenton, crosses the southeastern corner of Colorado into Kansas, re-enters the Oklahoma Panhandle, re-enters Kansas, and finally returns to Oklahoma where it joins the Arkansas River at Keystone Reservoir west of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
