Dan Patch

Dan Patch (April 29, 1896-July 11, 1916) was the outstanding pacer of his day. Dan Patch broke world speed records at least 14 times in the early 1900s, finally setting the world's record for the fastest mile by a harness horse during a time trial in 1906, a record that stood unmatched for 32 years.

Bush Lake (Hennepin County, Minnesota)

Bush Lake is located in the southwest corner of the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington, Minnesota near its border with Eden Prairie in Hennepin County. It has an area of 172.2 acres and a maximum depth of 28.0 feet . The lake contains many fish, but primarily Bluegill, Northern Pike, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Yellow Bullhead, and Yellow Perch. The city of Bloomington operates a beach on the east side of Bush Lake, just across from Hyland Lake Park Reserve.

Bloomington Ferry Bridge

The Bloomington Ferry Bridge is a 1.1-mile expressway bridge across the Minnesota River between Bloomington, Minnesota and Shakopee, Minnesota that carries U.S. Route 169. The current bridge opened in 1996. This bridge was designated Hennepin County Road 18 and Scott County Road 18 upon its 1996 opening until the U.S. 169 Shakopee Bypass was completed.

Bloomington Ferry Trail Bridge

The Bloomington Ferry Trail Bridge is a bicycle trail / pedestrian bridge over the Minnesota River between Bloomington, Minnesota and Shakopee, Minnesota. It opened in 1998, replacing the old Bloomington Ferry Bridge, a 2-lane vehicle swing bridge demolished upon the completion of the new Bloomington Ferry Bridge approx. 3/4 mi. upstream in 1996.

Dan Patch Line Bridge

The Dan Patch Line Bridge is a railroad swing bridge that carries the Canadian Pacific Railway's MN&S Subdivision across the Minnesota River. The MN&S Subdivision is a rail line that originated as the Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester and Dubuque Electric Traction Company, more commonly known as the Dan Patch Lines. Today's name for the rail line comes from the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad, which took over the Dan Patch route after the original railroad fell into bankruptcy.
