Atchison, Kansas
Atchison is a city situated along the Missouri River in the eastern part of Atchison County, located in northeast Kansas, in the Central United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 11,021. It is the county seat and most populous city of Atchison County. The city is named in honor of David Rice Atchison, United States senator from Missouri, and was the original eastern terminus of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad.

Benedictine College is a co-educational university in Atchison, Kansas, United States, founded in 1971 by the merger of St. Benedict's College for men and Mount St. Scholastica College for women. It is a Roman Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts, and residential college located on bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, northwest of Kansas City, Missouri. Benedictine is one of a number of U.S. Benedictine colleges, and is sponsored by St. Benedict's Abbey and Mount St. Scholastica Monastery.
Maur Hill – Mount Academy
Maur Hill Mount Academy is a coed Catholic, boarding high school in Atchison, Kansas. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The school was formed in 2003 with the merger of Maur Hill Prep School, an all-boys school, and Mount St. Scholastica Academy, an all-girls school, belonging to the Delaware Valley League. It is sponsored by St. Benedict's Abbey (monastery) and Mount St. Scholastica (convent) in Atchison, KS and is a Benedictine school.

Atchison County Historical Museum is a museum dedicated to preserving the history of Atchison, Kansas. Both town and museum are named after United States Senator and legendary "President for a day" David Rice Atchison.
Amelia Earhart Bridge
The Amelia Earhart Memorial Bridge is a truss bridge over the Missouri River on U.S. Route 59 between Atchison, Kansas and Buchanan County, Missouri. It was built in 1937–1938 by the Works Progress Administration. It was designed by Sverdrup & Parcel. The bridge was originally named the Mo-Kan Free Bridge because it did not charge a toll (the adjacent railroad bridge served as a crossing for rail traffic as well as cars and pedestrians prior to the construction of the free bridge).
Atchison Middle School
Atchison Middle School is located in extreme northeastern Kansas in Atchison. The building itself is only blocks from the Missouri River and has recently been completely renovated. During the renovation, great efforts were taken to keep the history of the building alive. If you take a tour, you will see that the historical detail remains intact. Atchison Middle School has been awarded a Certificate of Merit as part of the 5th Annual Challenge Awards.
Atchison Storage Facility
The Atchison Storage Facility, commonly known as the "Atchison Caves" lies 50 to 150 feet (to m) below the park under the limestone bluffs that line the Missouri River Valley. The bunker complex has served the United States for more than 60 years as a secure storage facility from World War II to the present day.
