Pensacola High School
Pensacola High School is a secondary school located near downtown Pensacola, Florida, USA. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2001 and graduated its 100th class of seniors in 2005; however, the school has not always been at its current location. It was moved to Maxwell Street in 1952. In 1969, a fire gutted the previous school building on Lee Square, prompting its demolition. Currently, it is the oldest secondary school in Pensacola.

Delta Air Lines Flight 1288 was a regularly scheduled flight from Pensacola, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia on a McDonnell Douglas MD-88 equipped with Pratt & Whitney JT8D-219 turbofan engines. During the flight's takeoff roll from runway 17 at Pensacola on July 6, 1996, the aircraft experienced an uncontained, catastrophic turbine engine failure that caused debris from the front compressor hub of the number one left engine to penetrate the left aft fuselage.
Agrico Chemical Co
Agrico Chemical Co. is a Superfund site located in Pensacola, Florida. The facility operated under different companies from 1881 to 1975, when it was shut down by Agrico Chemical Company. The EPA found radium-226, radium-228, sulfuric acid, lead and fluorides in the groundwater. The facility produced sulfuric acid from pyrite from 1881 to 1920. The EPA believes that the lead and sulfuric acid came from corroding lead tanks that held the sulfuric acid.
Pensacola City Hall
Pensacola City Hall is located at 222 West Main Street and houses the majority of the offices for the City of Pensacola. Although the building's address places it on Main Street, the parking lot and main entrance are on Reus Street and Spring Street. Only recently have all of the city departments that were intended to move back into City Hall finally moved back in. The building was afflicted with heavy damage by Hurricane Ivan and had to undergo an extensive remodeling process.
