Carrick is located just outside the town of Weed, uses Weed in its mailing addresses and is generally viewed by locals as a neighborhood of Weed, though located outside of the city proper.

Upper Soda Springs

The State of California and the City of Dunsmuir are creating a new park on this historic site.

Mossbrae Falls
Mossbrae Falls is a waterfall flowing into the Sacramento River, in the Shasta Cascade area in Dunsmuir, California. The falls are located just south of the lower portion of Shasta Springs. Access to the falls via a mile-long hiking trail on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks is currently closed, as Union Pacific and the City of Dunsmuir figure out a safer route to the falls.
College of the Siskiyous
College of the Siskiyous (COS) is a public two-year community college with campus is located in Weed and Yreka in Siskiyou County in Northern California. It is part of the California Community Colleges System, serving as the northernmost college in the state of California and the only college in Siskiyou County. The college is in the service area of California State University, Chico and one of only ten community colleges in California that provide on-campus dormitories for students.

Mount Shasta Ski Park
Mount Shasta Ski Park is a ski resort located in northern California, just east of Interstate 5 along SR 89 between the city of Mount Shasta and the town of McCloud. The ski area lies about 6 mi south of the summit of 14,162 ft Mount Shasta, the second highest volcano in the Cascade Range. It straddles several small volcanic buttes on the lower southern flanks of the massive stratovolcano, with chairlifts running to the top of the 6,567 ft, Douglas Butte, and the 6,150 ft Marmot Ridge.
Shastina
Shastina is the highest satellite cone of Mount Shasta, and one of four overlapping volcanic cones which together form the most voluminous stratovolcano in the Cascade Range. At 12,330 ft, Shastina is taller than Mount Adams and would rank as the third highest volcano in the Cascades behind Mount Rainier and Shasta were it not nestled on the western flank of its higher neighbor.
Black Butte (Siskiyou County, California)
Black Butte is a cluster of overlapping dacite lava domes in a butte, a parasitic satellite cone of Mount Shasta. It is located directly adjacent to Interstate 5 at milepost 742 between the city of Mount Shasta and Weed, California. The highway crosses a 3,912 ft pass, Black Butte Summit, at the western base of the lava domes. The lava domes were extruded at the foot of the cone of Shastina following the period of its major eruptions about 9,000–10,000 years ago.

The Dunsmuir Station is an Amtrak train station in Dunsmuir, California. It is used by Union Pacific Railroad, but is not staffed by Amtrak. Dunsmuir Station is the northernmost Amtrak station in the state of California. The clean, modern station has telephones and restrooms and is well maintained by city residents and local rail enthusiasts.

Box Canyon Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Sacramento River forming Lake Siskiyou in the Shasta National Forest of Siskiyou County, California. The dam provides flood control and hyrdroelectric power, and is owned and operated by Siskiyou County.
Castle Lake (California)
Castle Lake is a glacial lake located in northern California along the eastern edge of the Klamath Mountains, in Siskiyou County, near the city of Mount Shasta. The outlet of the lake drains into Castle Lake Creek, and then into Lake Siskiyou; the lake is part of the headwaters of the Sacramento River. Nearly all of the lake's 47 acres are within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.

Hedge Creek Falls
Hedge Creek Falls is a waterfall on hedge creek, in the Shasta Cascade area in Dunsmuir, California. There is a small cave located behind the waterfall, allowing visitors to walk behind the cascading water. Shortly after the waterfall, hedge creek flows into the Sacramento River south of Mossbrae Falls. There is a viewing platform over the river, with a view of Mount Shasta. Access to the waterfall and viewing platform is via a short hiking trail.
