The Sipsey River is a 145-mile-long swampy low-lying river in west central Alabama. The Sipsey is surrounded by some exceptional wetland habitat. It originates near Glen Allen, and discharges into the Tombigbee River near Vienna.

Bazemore, Alabama is a small community located in northern Fayette County, Alabama near the Marion and Walker County lines, approximately 3 miles south of I-22.
