Oslofjord
The Oslofjord is an inlet in the south-east of Norway, stretching from an imaginary line between the Torbjørnskjær and Færder lighthouses and down to Langesund in the south to Oslo in the north. It is part of the Skagerrak strait, connecting the North Sea and the Kattegat sea area, which leads to the Baltic Sea. The Oslofjord is not a fjord in the geological sense - in Norwegian the term "fjord" can refer to a wide range of waterways.
Viking ring fortress
Trelleborg is a collective name for six Viking Age circular forts, located in Denmark and the southern part of modern Sweden. Five of them have been dated to the reign of the Harold Bluetooth of Denmark (died 986). The fort in Borgeby has been dated to the vicinity of 1000 AD, so it is possible that it too, was built by the same king. This type of fortification is also named after the first discovered example; Trelleborg near Slagelse, excavated 1936-1941).

Convention of Moss
The Convention of Moss was a cease fire agreement, signed August 14, 1814, between the Swedish King and the Norwegian government. It followed the Swedish-Norwegian War due to Norway's claim to sovereignty. It also became the de facto peace agreement and formed the basis for the personal union between Sweden and Norway that was established when the Norwegian Storting (Parliament) elected Charles XIII of Sweden as king of Norway on 4 November 1814.

Tofte, Norway
Tofte is a village in the municipality of Hurum, Norway. The village has 3,045 inhabitants as of 1 January 2009. Tofte is best known for Södra Cell Tofte, a pulp factory in the middle of Tofte, and Hurum factories that make paper. The major industry in Tofte is the Södra Cell Tofte paper mill. In 2007, the latter was taken over by the industrial company Daimyo.

Melløs Stadion
Melløs Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Melløs borough in Moss, Norway. It is currently used mostly for football contests and is the home stadium of Moss FK. The stadium has a capacity around 10,000 people and was opened in 1939. The current attendance record is 10,085 people in a neighbor derby against Fredrikstad FK in 2003. The stadium was used for the 1997 UEFA Women's Championship.

Bastøy Prison
Bastøy Prison is a minimum-security prison located on Bastøy Island, Norway, about 75 kilometres (46 mi) south of Oslo. The facility is located on a 2.6 square kilometre (1 sq mi) island and hosts 115 inmates. Arne Kvernvik-Nilsen, governor of the prison, leads a staff of 69 prison employees. Of this staff, only five employees remain on the island overnight. The facility is about a one hour commuting distance from Oslo.

Moss Station is a railway station located in downtown Moss in Østfold, Norway. The station is located on the Østfold Line and serves as terminal station for Line 550 of the Oslo Commuter Rail service to Oslo Central Station and onwards to Spikkestad as well as a stop of the InterCity Express services to Halden. All services are operated by the Norwegian State Railways. Moss Station opened as part of the railway in 1879.

Moss is a carbonaceous chondrite meteorite that fell over the communities of Rygge and Moss in Østfold county, southeast southern Norway in the morning of midsummer day, July 14, 2006. The last time a type CO3 meteorite fell from the sky was in 1937 with Kainsaz, Russia. There are 6 known falls of a CO3 meteorite.
Statkraft osmotic power prototype in Hurum
Statkraft osmotic power prototype is the world's first osmotic power plant, based on the energy of osmosis. The power plant is run by Statkraft. The power plant is located at Tofte in Hurum, Norway, with rooms at the factory area at Södra Cell Tofte cellulose factory. The power plant uses the osmotic gradient that occurs when fresh water and salt water meet, separated by a permeable membrane.

Moss Jernverk
Moss Jernverk (Moss Ironworks) was an ironwork in Moss, Norway. Established in 1704, it was for many years the largest workplace in the city, and melted ore, chiefly from Arendalsfeltet (a geologic province in Norway). With power from the nearby waterfalls it manufactured many different products. From around the middle of the 1700 century the works were the leading armory in the country and produced hundreds of heavy iron cannons. The first rolling mill in Norway was also located here.
