Raufoss

Raufoss is the municipal centre of Vestre Toten, a municipality in the county of Oppland, Norway, 10 kilomenters south of the larger town Gjøvik. It has approximately 6,000 inhabitants. The largest employer is what was earlier Raufoss Ammunitions factory, now split into several sub companies. These include Nammo, Hydro Aluminium and Raufoss Technology. The community has an active sports community pivoting around the sports club Raufoss I.L.

Mjøsa Bridge

Mjøsa Bridge (Mjøsbrua) is a box girder bridge that crosses lake Mjøsa between Moelv and Biri in Hedmark and Oppland counties in Norway. The bridge is 1421 metres long, the longest span is 69 metres, and the clearance to the water is 15 metres. The bridge has 21 spans, and one vehicular lane in each direction. Plans include the building of a new two-lane bridge (for a total of four lanes), or a four lane bridge with a total of six lanes crossing Mjøsa at Moelv/Biri (2x2 + 1x1).

Eina is a village in Vestre Toten municipality, Oppland, Norway. The population is 677. The village is one of the destinations on the railroad track Gjøvikbanen, between Jaren and Raufoss. Eina is located a mere 12 km south of Raufoss, and has its center just north of Einavatnet (or Einafjorden). From Einavatnet comes the river Hunnselva which travels north to Mjøsa. Some 1,500 people inhabit the area surrounding the lake, not including Eina.

Kraby

Kraby is a village and an area of Østre Toten municipality in Oppland. The village lies around 2 kilometres east of Lena on riksvei 33. The village is named after the Kraby farms. Kraby became a stopping point with the opening of the Skreiabanen in 1902, and the village name Kraby came into use. Next to the station, a post office (2855 KRABY), was opened. In addition, some traders opened in Kraby. In 1916, a local festival, Festiviteten, opened, now known as Teten.

Hunnselva

Hunnselva is a river in Norway which runs from the end of Einafjorden through the village of Eina in Vestre Toten municipality, northwards through Reinsvoll, Raufoss and Hunndalen before it runs into Mjøsa in Gjøvik. In Gjøvik the river splits between the two suburbs of Nordbyen and Sørbyen. Before it was known as the Hunn, the name came from the Anglo-Saxon word (Húð), meaning hunter, which also gave the name of the village of Hunn in Vardal.
