Nesøya, Akershus
Nesøya is a small island in the municipality of Asker, Norway. It is linked to the mainland via a bridge. The island is known for having a number of celebrities and members of the Norwegian financial elite among its residents. Much of the eastern part of the island is a nature reserve.
Gjettum (station)
Gjettum is a station on Kolsås Line (Line 6) of the Oslo Metro. It is located between Hauger and Valler at the foot of Kolsås, 15.5 kilometers from Stortinget. The station was opened 1 January 1930 as part of the tramway Lilleaker Line. Along with most of the line, Gjettum has been closed for upgrades since 1 July 2006 and its service is temporarily provided by bus route 42.
Sandvika Storsenter
Sandvika Storsenter (“Sandvika shoppingmall” or “Sandvika S”) is a super-regional mall located in Sandvika outside of Oslo, Norway. It is currently the largest mall in Scandinavia with 190 stores. Sandvika Storsenter is owned by Olav Thon. The mall opened October 14th 1993, and was then 24.000 m2. They expanded in 2007 with 5 500 m2 making them the largest shopping mall in Norway at the time. Sandvika Storsenter is visited by 25 000 customers every day, 150 000 per week and 8 million a year.
Kolsås (station)
Kolsås is the end station of the Kolsås Line on the Oslo Metro. The station, located in Bærum municipality, comes after Hauger, and is located 17.3 kilometers from Stortinget. The station and line into Bærum was originally not built as a metro line but as the Lilleaker Line, built by Bærumsbanen. The station opened 1 January 1930. It was not until 1942 when the line became part of the heavier metro network. The station retains a turning loop for trams which can only run forwards.
Sandvika Station
Sandvika Station is a railway station located in downtown Sandvika in Bærum, Akershus, Norway. The station serves as a local public transport hub and is located on the Asker Line and the Drammen Line. The station was opened with the Drammen Line in 1872. In 2005 the Asker Line opened allowing though trains to bypass local trains and head directly to the next mayor station, Asker. An expansion of the Asker Line to Lysaker is under construction.
Jong, Norway
Jong is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Mainly a residential area, the population (2007) is 4,778. This residential area is located west of the city Sandvika, on top of the hill Jongsåsen. The district has a primary school, Jong skole. The traffic is low compared to other local residential areas.

Kolsås is a wooded mountain ridge in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Geologically, Kolsås belongs to the Oslo Graben area. Its two peaks consist of hard rhomb porphyric lava covering softer rocks, forming steep cliffs to the east, south and west.

Valler was a station on the Kolsås Line (line 6) on the Oslo Metro. It was located between Gjettum and Avløs, 14.8 kilometers from Stortinget. The station opened on 1 January 1930 as part of the tramway Lilleaker Line. Along with most of the line, Valler has been closed for upgrades since 1 July 2006 and its service is temporarily provided by bus. It has been decided that Valler shall not re-open. Instead Gjettum station will be moved closer to Valler when it re-opens.

Hauger is a station on the Kolsås Line (line 6) on the Oslo Metro system. It is between Kolsås and Gjettum, 16.5 kilometers from Stortinget. It serves the neighborhood Hauger and the mainly industrial area Rud. Two upper secondary schools Rud and Rosenvilde are located in its vicinity. The station was opened on 1 January 1930 as part of the tramway Lilleaker Line.

Billingstad
Billingstad is a village in Asker municipality, Akershus county, Norway. It is close to the border of Bærum and Vestmarka and is 18 km west of Oslo. It has 2,349 residents (2006). The area is both residential and commercial. It is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail at Billingstad Station, and hosts the world's first IKEA outside Sweden. Both Budstikka and Varner-Gruppen have their head offices at Billingstad.
Tanum Tunnel
Tanum Tunnel is 3,590-meter-long double-track railway tunnel on the Asker Line, between Jong in Bærum and Åstad in Asker, Norway. It was built as part of the first state of the Asker Line, between Asker and Sandvika; construction started in February 2002 and the tunnel opened on 27 August 2005. The tunnel was built by AF Gruppen for the Norwegian National Rail Administration.
Kadettangen
Kadettangen is a small peninsula outside of Sandvika in Bærum, Norway. Originally named Sandvikstangen, it got its current name from the cadet training conducted by the Norwegian Military Academy for the better part of the nineteenth century. The peninsula is now used mainly for boating, beach life and sports, being the home ground of association football club Bærum SK.
Hamang Tunnel
The Hamang Tunnel is a road tunnel that runs under Hamang northwest of Sandvika in Norway. It forms a part of the European route E16. It was named Hamangporten in 1991, but the name was changed after two months at the demand of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, who deemed the name Hamangporten to be "most unfortunate".

The Kjørbo Tunnel is the name of a road tunnel that runs through the hill Kjørbokollen west of Sandvika in Norway. It forms a part of the European route E16, the route branching off of the European route E18 immediately after the tunnel's southern entrance. It was opened in 1991, and was financed by Oslo Package 1.
