Gekko Observatory
Gekko Observatory is an astronomical observatory located in the Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It was founded in 1957 and is owned by the International Foundation for Cultural Harmony. Between 1987 and 2000, the astronomers Yoshiaki Oshima and Tetsuo Kagawa discovered 172 minor planets at this site. As of the year 2000, this observatory was ranked 40th in the world in terms of total asteroid discoveries. Asteroid 4261 Gekko is named after this observatory. The IAU code for this observatory is 888.
Jukkokutōge Cable Car
The Jukkokutōge Cable Car, officially the Jikkoku Cable Line, is a funicular line in Kannami, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan operated by the Izuhakone Railway. The line was opened on October 16, 1956 by the Sunzu Railway Company, which was acquired by the Izuhakone Railway in 1957. The line climbs Jukkoku Pass, literally meaning "ten countries pass", as its is claimed at ten "countries" can be seen from the summit of the pass.

Tanna Tunnel is a railroad tunnel in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan operated by JR Central’s Tōkaidō Main Line. This 7.8 km long tunnel shortened the trunk route between Tokyo and Kobe by omitting a detour round the mountains between Atami and Numazu.
