Miyagi Stadium

The crescent-shaped roof extending past the edge of the stadium is meant to evoke images of Date Masamune, a Daimyo of Mutsu Province, which included the present-day Miyagi Prefecture. 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup
The 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup was the 7th edition of the tournament. The tournament was played in Japan from 19 August to 8 September, with sixteen national football soccer teams and mark the first hosting of a FIFA women's football tournament in the country. The host nation were to be decided on 19 March 2010 but was postponed by FIFA to give bidders more time to prepare their bids. On 3 March 2011 FIFA initially awarded the World Cup to Uzbekistan.
Site of Tagajō
Site of Tagajō was a fort in Tōhoku established during the campaigns against the Emishi in the eighth century. It served as the administrative centre of Mutsu Province. Bashō tells of his visit to the site in Oku no Hosomichi. The ruins of Taga-jō and its former temple have been designated a Special Historic Site .
Tōhoku History Museum
The Tōhoku History Museum is a museum in Tagajō, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It houses finds from excavations at the site of Tagajō as well as from other sites in Tōhoku. These include a Jōmon period jade axe excavated in Kizukuri, Aomori Prefecture, and designated an Important Cultural Property; and another Jōmon jade, excavated in Niisato, Iwate Prefecture, also designated an Important Cultural Property.
