Yahatahigashi-ku, Kitakyūshū
Yahatahigashi-ku, Kitakyūshū is a ward of Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka, Japan. It is the second smallest ward in Kitakyūshū after Tobata ward at only 36.36 square kilometres. Residents have a very high average age, one of the highest in Japan. The population was 77,077 at the end of September 2003.
Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art
The Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art is located in Tobata-ku, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Arata Isozaki, it sits on a hill straddling the three wards of Kokura Kita, Tobata, and Yahata Higashi. The museum houses more than 6,000 pieces of art, as well as offering various exhibitions throughout the year. Kawachi Dam
Kawachi Dam is a dam in Yahata Higashi, KitaKyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It has been built from stone and mortar to sustain water flow for local steel mills between 1919 and 1927. It was once to be said as "Orient's best dam". As for Minamikawachi bridge, completed in 2006, it is a part of Kitakyushu Seminational Park and is a national industrial heritage since 2007.
