Old Leighlin
Old Leighlin is a small town in County Carlow, Ireland, 3.5 km west of Leighlinbridge. The site was at one time one of the foremost monastic houses in Leinster, with 1500 monks in residence. It was the location for a church synod in AD 630, which decided the date on which Easter Day would fall for the entire Christian world. St Lazerian's Cathedral was the cathedral of the diocese of Leighlin, now merged with neighbouring dioceses in the Church of Ireland.

Royal Oak (Irish: an Daire Ríoga) is a small village in County Carlow, Ireland. It is across the River Barrow from Muinebeag, off the main N9 road from Dublin to Kilkenny. Royal Oak is within the townland of Clorusk (from Irish: Cloch Rusc, meaning "stone house of the moor/marsh").
Leighlinbridge Castle
Leighlinbridge Castle, also called Black Castle, is situated in the village of Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Ireland, on the River Barrow, and was one of Ireland’s earliest Norman castles. A 50-foot-tall broken castle tower and bawn wall are all that can be seen today.
Shankill Castle
Shankill Castle and Gardens is set in parkland near Paulstown on the Carlow/Kilkenny border. Visitors are invited to walk in the grounds and gardens, and there are guided tours of the house. Shankill Castle started as a Bulter tower-house near the ruins of an old church. Peter Aylward bought the lands from his wife's family, the Butlers, in 1708, and it was rebuilt and set in a formal landscape with a vista to the front and canal to the rear.

St Laserian's Cathedral, Old Leighlin, previously the cathedral of the Diocese of Leighlin, is now one of the six cathedral churches in the Diocese of Cashel and Ossory of the Church of Ireland. It is situated on the site of a mediaeval monastery in the village of Old Leighlin, County Carlow, Ireland, some 12 km south of Carlow town in the ecclesiastical province of Dublin. The Cathedral Church of St Laserian is one of Ireland’s smallest cathedrals.
