Liberdade (district of São Paulo)
is the name of a district in the subprefecture of Sé, in São Paulo, Brazil. It is home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan in the world and has been growing since the 1950s. Liberdade is São Paulo's own equivalent of Japantown in the USA. Significant populations of Chinese and Koreans also live in the district of Liberdade. It is served by the São Paulo Metro.

Ibirapuera Park is a major urban park in São Paulo, Brazil. It has a large area for leisure, jogging and walking, as well as a convention center. Its importance to São Paulo is comparable to that of the Central Park to New York City. The Ibirapuera is one of Latin America largest city parks, together with Chapultepec Park, in Mexico City and Simón Bolívar Park in Bogota.

Ginásio G.J. de Almeida or Ginásio do Ibirapuera, officially named Ginásio Estadual Geraldo José de Almeida, is an indoor sporting arena located in São Paulo, Brazil. The seating capacity of the arena is 11,000 people and it was opened on 25 January 1957. Named after famous sports broadcaster and sports commentator Geraldo José de Almeida, in 2004, 2005 and 2006 Ginásio do Ibirapuera hosted the Salonpas Cup matches, and in 2006, the arena hosted the Basketball World Championship for Women.
Brasil Open
The Brasil Open is a tennis tournament held annually in São Paulo, Brazil. A part of the ATP World Tour 250 series, it is currently the main event in the Brazilian tennis calendar. Since 2004, it has been a part of the South American clay court circuit but was held on hard courts prior to 2004. The women's WTA tournament began in 1999. The WTA Brasil Open lasted only until 2002. In 2013, a new edition will take place in Florianópolis.

It comprises the districts of Vila Mariana, Moema and Saúde. Obelisk of São Paulo is an obelisk in Ibirapuera Park in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. This monument is a symbol of the Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932, and the biggest monument of the city of São Paulo. The height of the monument is 72 meters. The construction of the monument was started in 1947 and completed in 1970. The obelisk is a project of the Italo-Brazilian sculptor Galileo Ugo Emendabili, who arrived at Brazil in 1923.

Monument to the Independence of Brazil
The Monument to the Independence of Brazil also known as the Ipiranga Monument or the Altar of the Fatherland, is set in granite and bronze sculpture. It is located on the banks of the Ipiranga Brook, in São Paulo, on the historic site where D. Pedro I of Brazil proclaimed the independence of the country on September 7, 1822. The monument was designed and built by sculptor Ettore Ximenes and architect Manfredo Manfredi to celebrate the first centenary of Brazilian Independence.
